"The Omni is supposed to be a "Luxury" hotel with top service and amenities but during my stay it fell well short of the service and accommodation level expected...
I've stayed at cheaper less prestigious hotels in SD with much better service and quality. We booked this hotel due to the availability of a crib or pack and play for our baby - we even called ahead to make sure we would have one and were told "No problem! We'll have it ready for you"
Upon arrival, we were told they didn't have anymore and it was our problem to figure out... No suggestions, no willingness to run down the street and get one for maybe $50 at Target - which for a hotel like the Omni should be chump change also knowing they'll reuse it for many years with other guests. In fact I was told - I can go and get one or I just have to "Figure it out". No concern for the safety of a baby or making guests comfortable that have been traveling all day with 2 kids....
To add we asked for some extra sheets and pillows so we could make a makeshift bed and they took their sweet time while our kids waited to go to bed...
Also you could see some really poor caulking and grout job in the bathroom shower that might as well have been done by my toddler... For a hotel as "Prestigious" as the Omni to look like its had the same repair quality as a Days Inn is just sad.
Was really looking forward to a comfortable, nice stay at a "Luxury" hotel but was just bummed out and disappointed instead."
