"The hotel was very clean and the staff was exceptionally polite and the location on the Riverwalk was great. We were able to check our bags in early while we waited for check-in time. Due to the storms a couple days prior, our room wasn’t available and we were offered another room (close to the same) for the first night and they waived the resort fee. We waited several hours to get into the room and the staff made us a fruit tray and offered a $50 bar/restaurant credit; I’m not sure if the credit was given because it wasn’t shown on my final itemized charges. We did get the room we booked the second and third night, it was just a hassle to pack our stuff and move, but I know it wasn’t the hotels fault. I wish we had some information about the river walks, a map of the hotel and city, events, or recommendations. We wanted to get a couples massage with the spa that is associated with the hotel, however, they too had issues from the storm days prior and were closed to remove and trim the trees.
Overall, The Valencia Hotel was a good experience; I would recommend this hotel and stay here again."
