Beautiful property! Wonderful customer service. Breakfast was fantastic. As an American traveler it was a little rough because of no AC in the rooms but seemed to be cooler in the hotel itself. But we brought fans and that helped a lot. Would stay there again. You can’t beat the views!

If you have a car, stay here while visiting Salzburg. Lovely simple accommodations. Beautiful property looking out on the city and mountains. Nice breakfast. Not too far but not close to historic center. Wish we had time to use the pool.

Fantastic Stay

The hotel is out of town in a nice, quiet area up on a hill with a lovely view of Salzburg. The breakfast was great and the rooms were comfortable with updated decor. The gal at the front desk was able to call and get us a Sound of Music Tour that I wasn't able to book from my phone the day of which meant a lot to me. She was so friendly and helpful.

This hotel is one of the nicest places, well organized, is very quiet, and it's location on the hillside located southeast of Salzburg is just about perfect, and it's only an 11 minute drive to get downtown. The breakfast is one of the best one's I've had traveling, and the staff area all friendly and very helpful, including Corina (or Catarina -?spelling), Natalie and her fellow worker at the restaurant, and Eva who is from Hungary, and did a superb performance preparing the included breakfast. The view is simply WONDERFUl, and the distant city, mountains, valley, clouds, and snow on the mountaintops... this is why we came to Salzburg and the Austrian Alps... and we were so delighted. We will indeed stay here again soon. jw

This is an amazing property if you like old Austrian charm, being in the nature, and having amazing views. If you want fast city life with a shopping mall 3 minute walk do NOT stay here. This is for peace, serenity, and relaxing.

I recommend doing research before coming here. If you do not have a car, it will be hard for you to travel up to the hotel, if you do not like to walk. The restaurant is not open everyday. The spa was closed when we were there. The view is amazing and it’s quiet. It’s an old style hotel and it has a lot of history. If you are used to 5 star hotels like the Ritz, don’t come here.

Beautiful setting, gorgeous view of the city and natural landscape, great breakfast, modern room. Excellent facilities and I would recommend it. I Did not give it a 5 star primarily because of the lack of soundproof walls and presence of smoking fumes around property which came into the room . I could hear everything that went on both rooms next to me as it they were inside my room until late at night. And although the hotel room was non-smoking, I open the door to the balcony hoping to take in fresh air but instead strong smoking fumes came into the room from the smoking neighbors (along with the noise of the neighbor talking loudly on the phone late at night). I had to keep off the balcony which was unfortunate given the beautiful view. This was disappointing. But otherwise I would recommend the hotel for the setting and view.

The property is overlooking Salzburg, which is nice. The staff is not very hospitable. They do not engage in a friendly or overly accommodating way. Sort of a "it is what it is" approach. It is away from any restaraunts which would be fine if their restaraunt was functioning.. but it was closed for 2 or 3 days at the start of the week. When I asked for water, was told that I could use their vending area. Steam room/sauna are not worth it. View from outdoor pool is nice though. I wouldnt recommend this hotel for any particular reason except for a nice view. They have a lot of work to do in terms of service to make this worth while. Moderately disappointed overall.

Property is in beautiful location with a view to die for, room was clean and bed comfortable. Might be hard to reach property as it is remote and requirement to check on by 9 pm therefore afterwards to return to town it is too far or too pricey. Dosappointed as advert was with a pool which os not availabe du to season- beginung oct though the weather was beautiful. In description this was not stated and that was the only reason we chose thos hotel. No hot tube or sauna availabe too though ot was mention.aa it was tuesday night we stayed in the restaurant was closed, which is ok but in the rooms there was no kettle nor option for tea or coffee- after traveling 32 hr we really wanted a hot drink. It was my child's birthday - no special treat was there too, which would be lovely as a bit of attention as booking was made much in advance. For breakfast no hot sausage or bacon available too. Views beautifu, good for families traveling with car, but as a traveller would not stay again.

Nice property, very good breakfast. Room could have been bigger but thats typical European. Clean though. Could use an elevator as not to lugg the bags up the stairs. Although there’s someone to help. Great looking pool… but cold !! Not heated. Disappointing. The property is a bit outlying from the city in Salzburg and a GPS is an absolute must since the inner city is where most things to see and do is. Found a great ( plus a few others) restaurant named “ Goldener Hirsch” down in the inner city. Very good. Also don’t miss the Sacher Hotel in the same area for some delicious Torten and Pastries and coffee. This is the original place to sample the Sacher Torte. Of course you can stay there too. JUST BRING MONEY….First class place. Suggest taking a taxi from the hotel since driving there and finding parking can be a little challenging. And then you have to walk a bit. Taxi is door to door. Salzburg is a nice town though.

Charming Stay

This B&B is a 300-year-old farmhouse on top of a hill that was converted into a B&B. It's got great ambiance and lots of character, and the breakfast was wonderful. Check in and check out was fast and easy and the caretakers were pleasant. There are three floors and no elevators. The rooms are basic, but charming. The bathroom was small, and the hot water took a long time to make its way up to the 3rd floor. The views were magnificent.

Friendly Staff & AMAZING Breakfast
