We arrived after the front desks was closed but the instructions said to check in at the bar next door. The bar tender never skipped a beet and led us into the hotel and got us all signed in and keyed up. The breakfast was good and the day staff were friendly and spoke great English. The location is the key. It is a short walking distance to every thing.

Outstanding place to stay. The only weakness was the wifi, being third floor up it wasn't strong enough to stay connected. But the hotel and staff were great

Enjoyed our stay in Salzburg
Great location. Little older hotel and likely one of the smallest elevators we’ve been in, but it was clean, staff was friendly, and convenient location. Super convenient to Mirabelplatz (gardens, Christmas market, and the meeting place for the Sound of Music bus tour).

L'hotel è stato da poco ristrutturato, ma da allora evidentemente non è stata fatta manutenzione: es, la porta del bagno non si chiude e non vi è possibilità di appendere l'asciugamano dopo l'uso. Basterebbe aggiungere un paio di appendini al muro ed un'asta davanti al lavandino. La cosa peggiore, però, sono i forti rumori provenienti (fino a notte fonda) dal bar sottostante, gestito sempre dall'amministrazione dell'hotel. Senza contare i forti e costanti rumori notturni provenuienti, forse, dalle tubature dell'acqua. Per due notti mia moglie ed io non abbiamo chiuso occhio. Non si trattano così gli ospiti.

Great location in Salzburg!
Very helpful assistance from the welcoming front desk staff. Very agreeable accommodation in a 500-year old building. Excellent location that’s within comfortable walking distance to Festung Hohensalzburg, Dom du Salzburg, and other attractions in Alt Stadt. Convenient access to public transportation (Hellbrunn Palace), and train station: Hbf. Salzburg.

Was a great value & loved the 24 hour free coffee & tea. Getting Tobit was more difficult, because we were driving & didn’t know it was in a pedestrian zone. Once we walked there, we were able to get driving instructions, so we could drop off our bags & then park. Then, we finally could enjoy this beautiful city.

駅からも遠くなく、旧市街へのアクセスも良い。ザルツブルク城まで歩いて行けます。周辺にはカフェやレストランが多く、とても便利でした。スタッフも親切で、チェックアウト後も荷物を預かってくれました。ただ、冷蔵庫やケトルがなく、設備面での不満がありました。

Godt hotel der ikke er stort men lige tilpas (måske 20 værelser). Stort værelse med super badeværelse og fin udsigt til gården og bjerg. Dejlig morgenmadsbuffet. Eneste minus var at receptionisten var meget lidt imødekommende. Tæt på alle seværdigheder og stationen.

We reserved the family room, which ended up being an apartment about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The location was ideal as we were on the main street. The apartment is on the second floor. There is bedroom with 2 queen beds (very comfortable) and a living room with kitchen. The kids also enjoyed the piano that is a historical relic (they both are piano players so fun for them to have a piano on the trip). The building is historic and there is no air conditioning but we got by with fans at night. The apartment overlooks the main street so there is a nice breeze (we were there in August). Since the apartment is not near the hotel, we did not go to the breakfast and got groceries from down the street. The kitchen had everything we needed. If you require a traditional hotel with front desk, breakfast, air conditioning, etc. then the apartment may not be for you. All the sites were walking distance (Mozart's home is around the corner!) so location is ideal. The street does not allow cars so parking is a few blocks away but we knew this and planned accordingly. There was ample parking and the hotel staff had sent us all this information in advance. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay again.

Preço um pouco alto, mas o hotel fica em uma excelente posição na cidade velha. Tem elevador, apesar de serem um prédio antigo e cortesia de máquina de café grátis. O staff é bem atencioso e simpático. Recomendo.

J'aurais dû lire mieux lire les avis précédents.
Il semble que le ressenti est différent selon qu'on ait une chambre sur rue ou à l'arrière. J'avais une chambre sur rue ce qui veut surtout dire au dessus du bar. Ne pas croire la feuille donnée à l'arrivée qui indique qu'il ferme à minuit. Il y au eu de la musique jusqu'à 2h15. Donc impossible d'ouvrir la fenêtre pour rafraîchir la chambre. Même fenêtre fermée on a droit aux basses de la musique. Donc courte nuit avant la sonnerie à l'aube des cloches de l'église proche. Chambre petite mais avec une grande armoire (inutilisable a cause de l'odeur). Sdb rénovée. Accueil un peu froid. J'aurais dû mieux lire les avis précédents et choisir un autre hôtel (sans bar au rez de chaussée) pour pouvoir dormir plus.

Difficult location if arriving by car as the street is a pedestrian zone. The room was pretty out-dated. Bathroom was ok. The noise from the nearby church bells starts around 5:30am if I recall. The location is pretty convenient on a shopping street with restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The main tourist attractions in the old town are about an 8 minute walk. We also found a nice laundromat a few blocks away. The employees are friendly and helpful. They let us store our bags for a few hours after check out. Overall, the difficult part of this hotel is checking in if you have luggage due to its distance from parking. It worked well for our family as a base.

Fantastic location at a great value.
Fantastic location, spacious rooms and a great value. Discounted parking available nearby. Only suggestion is that property should invest in some larger and more plush towels. Towels are paper thin at or very absorbent—only thing that kept this review from being an absolute 10.

Great location near central Salzburg on a pedestrian street. Directions to the parking garage should have been provided as there is no way to even drive to the property. I spent about 30 minutes driving around before discovering there is no way to drive there.

Very clean and quiet. Great location for getting to and from activities. We had a car and they gave us discount voucher for public parking which was very nice and helpful. Parking lot was 3-4 minutes from hotel. Loved that hotel was in a pedestrian only street.

The property was perfect for a place to sleep. It’s in a beautiful party of the city with shopping and restaurants. There is a cute little bar attached to it. The staff were friendly and spoke English which was helpful to me. It was clean and the bathroom was modern. My only complaint was the pillow was extremely flat with almost no filling. The room was extremely warm and I tend to run cold. The next morning I noticed a fan in the closet. I should note though throughout my travels most of the hotels were very warm in both Austria and Germany. If there was a way to adjust the temperature I failed to notice it. However despite that I would stay again.

Property was poorly staffed and unhelpful. Breakfast was terrible and overpriced. Room was small and cavernous. “Front desk” was the bar next door. Elevator was ill-equipped to handle luggage.

Dear Brett, We are sorry to hear you had such as horrible stay, yet there are a couple of things we do not understand: You walked (actually ran) out of the hotel refusing to pay for the breakfast, which you had not pre-booked, and the city tax. So we cannot gather why you considered it "overpriced". You got it for free. And if it was overpriced and terrible, why did you have it every single day? Front desk is manned at the reception from 6:30 am until 3 pm. After 3 pm until midnight it is manned by our café/bar. Please do explain what is so wrong with that. Our elevator is, admittedly, small, yet we are thankful to have one in a 500+ year old building. It can handle 400 kg. That is quite a bit of luggage.

Great stay, thank you. Only minor thing is the noise from the bar on the ground floor. Otherwise great staff, breakfast and perfect location.

Beautiful, smaller, boutique hotel with a wonderfully courteous staff. We were three and the room was spacious for all of us. Bathroom was updated with separate toilet and shower rooms which worked perfectly. Perfect area for dining and shopping but a little down the street so nice and quiet at night to get your rest. Highly recommend.
