This B&B is located in the countryside outside the city of Salerno. It is 20-25 minutes away by car, and it's quite remote. The staff is friendly. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. They serve a traditional Italian breakfast with coffee and milk or tea only.

The B&B itself was very quaint and charming. The location however was a bit harder to reach than expected. It’s perched up on the mountainside many switchbacks and narrow roads to reach this place. We were visiting peope in Giffoni which seams close. 6 miles but it took 15 minutes to drive that 6 miles. The breakfast was also just packaged goods.

Very warm welcome to La Quercia Antica. Room was exceptionally well presented and spotlessly clean. Good breakfast which was more than sufficient in terms of quantity and quality. The owners were very happy to advise on local amenities and attractions and clearly keen to ensure we had the best time. The decor and ambiance of the B&B added to a great holiday. Whilst some way outside the usual tourist areas of Salerno etc, the availability of free parking and the B&B itself more than made up for it.

Nette Unterkunft in gemütlichem Bergdorf

Ein ideales Haus für Liebhaber von Antiquitäten. Das ganze Haus - mit nur 3 Gästezimmern- ist stilvoll und elegant mit antiken Möbeln und anderen alten Sachen eingerichtet. Die Technik ist allerdings auf dem neuesten Stand - reichlich Steckdosen zum aufladen der Geräte und gut funktionierendes W-lan. Unser Zimmer war ausreichend groß, liebevoll eingerichtet und auch das Bad war recht groß und komfortabel. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, jeden Tag wurden neue Handtücher bereitgestellt. Die Dame des Hauses ist sehr angenehm und zurückhaltend und spricht sehr gut Englisch, so dass wir uns auch gut unterhalten konnten. Das Frühstück war italienisch süß aber reichhaltig und jeden morgen gab es frisch gepressten Orangensaft. Wir haben den Ort als Ausgangsbasis für Ausflüge nach Pompeji und zur Amalfiküste gewählt und diese Entscheidung nicht bereut. Nach dem Trubel in Amalfi haben wir es besonders genossen, wieder in diesem kleinen gemütlichen Bergdorf zu sein. Das Auto kann sicher auf dem abgeschlossenen Gelände geparkt werden. Wir waren für 3 Nächte dort zu Gast und können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen !

Idyllisches B&B in nettem Bergdorf

Wir können das B&B nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Es ist familiengeführt und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Zimmer war gerade für italienische Verhältnisse sehr geräumig und das Bett darf sich von der Größe her tatsächlich Queen-Bett nennen. Das Frühstück ist typisch italienisch, jedoch alles in ausreichender Menge. Die Lage des B&B ist unserer Meinung nach gut, es liegt ziemlich mittig zwischen Neapel und Paestum, auch die Amalfi Küste und Salerno sind gut erreichbar. Allerdings ist ein Auto (wir kamen mit einem Leihwagen) unabdingbar, da es sich um ein Bergdorf handelt. Jedoch erlebt man Italien so viel authentischer als in Touristenhochburgen! In dem Ort findet man neben einer günstigen (und guten) Pizzeria auch eine hervorragende Eisdiele und einige weitere Geschäfte. Vom Kirchplatz aus hat man einen schönen Blick auf die kampanische Küste. Fazit: Wer mit dem Auto unterwegs ist, dem sei diese Unterkunft sehr ans Herz gelegt. Sehr zu empfehlen!
