"Salamanca was just a stopping point for us in our way to Madrid. I am SO glad we did. This little walkable city was one of my favorite places in our 3 weeks of Spain and Portugal. I can’t say enough about the NH Collection Salamanca! It’s old but beautiful and the staff is top notch! The location can’t be beat and breakfast was great! "The view from the hotel was stunning. The room was a good size with a two sink bathroom and good shower. However, there was a used towel left behind the door in the bathroom and crumbs on the occasional table. Otherwise it was made up properly. Like other hotels I have been staying in Spain there was no tea/coffee making facilities . I would have expected slippers and a robe in a property of this type. The reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful."

"The room was very small overall. The bed was comfortable. The only window was a small sky light. This particular room is not pictured on the hotel website. Breakfast was good. We added parking and I must say the access to the parking garage was somewhat difficult to find and a bit nerve wracking to navigate through the garage as it was so narrow! "Very convenient to the Plaza Major & every thing else in the vicinity. There is plenty to see & do. I could have stayed longer, sadly I couldn’t. Hotel needs a some updating but the price & convenience out weighs the minor negatives. Nice & friendly staff. Some rooms are very small & bathtubs are very high. Not enough grab bars in shower area. "The staff are 10/10 excellent for friendliness and just helped one woman and a dog so much. The location is perfect, right next to a glorious park, super dog friendly and at dusk the bird song is incredible as starlings roost in the trees by the hotel- amazing. I am back here on return journey"

"Very unconventional type of hostal, all self service. This chain is run by one person that does everything over the phone remotely. He always answers the phone when needed though. The renovated rooms are pretty small with barely any space left to move around. They are enough for one person but not two. I ended up renting another room in the nearby hostal run by same person due to lack of space and bed options. I will not stay here again and don’t recommend it for the reasons stated above."
