The owners are the ideal hosts. They had an excellent recommendation for dinner about a 15 minute walk to the nearby town. I wanted to eat there again the next night but it closed early for a Sunday rest. The room was clean and well decorated. Breakfast is well done with much sourced nearby and homemade

A real hidden gem; magical gardens, pond, pathways all around, dotted with grape arbors, berry bushes and fruit trees. Honey and several different preserves all made right out of the garden with care and love by the hands-on proprietor, and served at the breakfast table.

What a delight; a real jewel. Delightful, but a car needed to gat there. Madame Juana gave an excellent reception (French and Romantic languages only) with husband Eric (excellent English) as the overall experience outside; a deep natural knowledge. Recommend.

A lovely place to stay if you want to switch off and wind down. The location is fabulous as are the grounds. Lots of places to sit and take in the sounds of the forest. There is also plenty to see and do in the area. A visit to the armistice memorial was especially worthwhile. Our hosts Juana and Éric were fantastic. Our room was lovely and lived up to the beauty of the surroundings and stayed cool in the hot weather. Breakfast was very good and you even have a choice of home made jams and honey, all sourced from the surrounding forest. We will visit again no question.

Immersion nature

Un week end de relaxe totale dans un cadre merveilleux. Niché dans la forêt, le Jardin St Jean est aussi une découverte d'un jardin en cours d'aménagement, avec des plantes venant de tous pays. Nos hôtes partagent leur passion de la nature avec nous. Un super accueil, un délicieux petit déjeuner, fait de produits maison et un service aux petits soins. Merci Eric et Juana

Vi hade några underbara dagar hos Joana på Le jardin de Saint Jean. I omgivningarna finns mycket att göra - vandra i skogen, se fantastiska slott och bara ta det lugnt i trädgården.

Bij aankomst heel erg donker, verlichting zeker niet optimaal om goed je weg te vinden. Gebouw heeft schoonheid maar is niet goed onderhouden. Het was al een koude nacht en de deuren van de kamer die aan de tuin grenzen stonden open toen ik aankwam. Het was erg koud in de kamer en de te kleine verwarming kon de kamer niet warm krijgen. De hele dikke matras, die overigens prima lag, was daardoor heel koud en het duurde veel te lang om die een beetje warm te krijgen. Met kleding aan in bed dus. Stopcontacten om telefoon en laptop op te laden waren niet te vinden daardoor de stekker van het lampje op het nachtkastje maar gebruiken. Dat betekende veel minder licht. Het reservoir van het toilet bleef maar spoelen en handdoeken moest je zelf gaan zoeken. De kamer was heel sfeervol ingericht met aandacht voor detail. De eigenaar spreekt redelijk Engels maar zijn vrouw niet. Zij ratelt in het Frans en verwacht maar dat je dat verstaat. Ondanks dat hele aardige mensen. Locatie heeft potentie maar dan dienen er wel een aantal hindernissen genomen te worden.

Je suis arrivé, j’ai vu et je suis parti! Tant pis pour l’argent que j’ai perdu mais: comment est-ce possible de demander un tel prix pour ça? Pour le même tarif, j’ai trouvé un Best Western, avec la climatisation (il faisait plus de 30 degrés) dans un endroit aussi calme.

Situation hors du commun à l'entrée de la forêt, petit ruisseau, le calme et le dépaysement sont réels. Extérieur rustique, aménagement chaleureux à l'intérieur. Espace commun spacieux, accueil agréable et efficace, soirée relax au coin du feu dans la cheminée. Nous reviendrons.

Juste Fantastique. Parfait.

Avant d'arriver vous êtes en pleine forêt, vous vous dites 'ca va être bien'. Quand vous arrivez, vous vous dites " Waw" je me gare, accueil impeccable (avec masque, j'apprécie) chambre SUPERBE. Accueil du mari, impeccable aussi. visite du jardin, génial. petit déjeûner extra. et le petit plus : le chat, qi reste à l'extérieur, mais est gentil tout plein.
