My children feel the same after visiting in the summer of 2014. This 600 acre park is home to over 500 animals and features a drive through park as well as a walk through viewing area, cafe and gift shop. One of our favorite parts is in a particular area of the drive-thru park, you can buy food and feed the animals which are emus and different types of deer from your car. You can’t beat the price. The room was very clean, though there was some mold in the bathroom. The pet area is huge. Very convenient area, right next to an Elmer’s and off of I-5. I saw a homeless man peeing on the hotel dumpster when I took my dogs out. I never felt unsafe, though. I would hear an occasional dog barking but it wasn’t an issue, I had my own with me. I have family in the area and I had a horrible experience at a supposedly much nicer hotel, so I’d definitely stay here again. Bed wasn’t that great, but once again, the price.
