Very convenient, clean, includes free water bottle per person, rooms have been previously renovated, the bottom ones especially look lovely. Overall, quite nice, on a direct road in and out of Rockhampton for those who require a quick and easy overnight stay. Reception is also open until 8pm, which is handy.

Travelled with two small dogs. Room was on the bottom floor, set up for pets. Basic and suitable. Shower and toilet area was lovely and clean. Plenty of hot water, good pressure. Smokers are provided however not undercover if hot or raining. Parking was outside the door. Check in was seemless. Our room was closest to the main road which made traffic noise loud during the night.

Firstly, their front of house is rude, she openly made racists remarks and complained about my booking agent on the phone saying they 'Couldn't even speak English'. They charged my card without checking/taking my ID or filling out any paperwork or me checking in (whole other story) as I chose to pay on check in . Have zero empathy for personal circumstance (death in the family) and a request to change my booking which I know can be done. They then said I could have a credit for a night but they cannot refund it as the payment came through a booking agent - it didn't. The hotel itself charged my card and I sent them a screen shot to prove it. The rooms are not like the online pictures and the beds are like sleeping in a bowl of jelly. I would not recommend this hotel unless it was a last resort

Pet friendly and lovely (finally)

Lovely hotel. Usually a dog friendly room is the worse room, but we have no choice. Here, it was a beautiful room, renovated and clean and very spacious. Best dog friendly room we have stayed in. Thank you for treating us as responsible pet owners. We dont take rooms that allow pets for granted, we know it’s a privilege but we also pay a premium for these rooms. At last a hotel where the premium was worth it.

We were on a road trip in Australia and heading to Cairns. Along the way we stopped here for a night stay. Archer Park is one of best motel that I have ever stayed. Check in and check out was smooth, the room has everything a family needs while traveling. They have provided more than enough amenities. I would definitely recommend this for a short stay.

The staff were so friendly & lovely to deal with but unfortunately our room had an odour that made staying there unpleasant. Its also quite outdated however i can see upgrades have been made. It wasn’t for us but would be great for people with pets who don't mind some road noise.
