Comfortable stay In Richmond

I was pleased with my stay here. Check-in was smooth, I had a comfortable bed (I really got some good sleep). I did note the wear and tear on the windowsill, and the fridge mounting was slightly wobbly but I was satisfied with my stay.

Very nice staff! Everyone works hard at this location! The room was clean, the only thing Iโ€™d say was wrong was the smell in the bathroom due to maybe some dirty mop water, but other than that very nice. I will come back for sure! Thank you!

Very good for the money

The hotel was nice, the room was clean and in good condition. I didn't have to pay incidental at check in. The ac worked well and the room has a 40 inch screen tv with many channels. This is not a luxury hitel but it is a nice hotel and reasonably priced. There is an Olive Garden right next door and a Waffle House about 200 feet away. The vending machines were out of order but that happens sometimes no big deal.

The landscape is very nice, but there is no designated area for dogs to take relief. The kitchen was not clean, I saw a roach walking on the countertop near the coffee bar area. The breakfast menu was okay. There are no healthy options. Today, I noticed the kitchen countertop was clean. There might be an issue with the water flow in the shower.

There were several issues accroding to hotel industry standards: no intercom!!!!!, no help to take the luggage up from broken old stairs!!! doors were creaky, breakfast was terrible, soap dispenser in the bathroom broken, microwave and ac made loud noise throughout our stay, mold in the corners. Good things: Staff was helpful and kind. Sheets were clean.

Itโ€™s an old building thatโ€™s been heavily usedโ€ฆbanged up fridge (but it kept our food cold), door that scratches the floor and is hard to shut, stains that donโ€™t come out (but itโ€™s been cleaned). It looks rough on the outside and inside, but if you can get past that, itโ€™s a safe, inexpensive place to stay for a night especially if traveling with a pet. The parking lot is well lit so I felt better that our car was safe. Room was clean, although it did smell like it used to be a smoking room. AC worked great. Breakfast wasnโ€™t much, but they had coffee, OJ, toast and cereal. It was enough. I would stay there again if I was on a budget.

Comfortable, but some critiques

The room was very clean and comfortable. My criticism was that it was unclear where the entrance to the second building was. The door facing the parking seemed to be the obvious entrance but was locked. I had to walk to the other end of the building to find the entrance. Second there was no remote in my room (room 206)

We had reservations for 2 nights. No where on their website does it say you must be there by 4pm for check in. We arrive later in the night due to driving 4 hours and couldnโ€™t leave until in the evening due to jobs and kids activities for school. Once we arrive we were told our reservation was canceled. We got no phone call about this or anything else. Iโ€™ve worked in a motel you can arrive at any time for check in, your reservation is still booked regardless of the time you arrive. They just needed the room because someone was there right then and there so they just gave away our room. So we ended up having to find another place to stay with 2 children so late. We travel ALOT for show choir events and stay at a lot of hotels and often donโ€™t arrive until late however our reservation is still available once we arrive!! This place was just rude and very unprofessional.

First, the bathroom in the room was dirty. It appeared that the floor was swept in a pile, but not swept up, which included a piece of eye lashed and a dead roach. Second, the bathroom was filthy. The microwave, should have been through in the trash. The next day, they bought in a brand new microwave. That let's you know how nasty the microwave was. I know this wasn't the Taj Maj Hall, but clean is clean. I did take pictures and complained to the manager at check out, that the first I saw him. The very inexperienced you boy at the counter had a bad attitude. He worked the counter everyday of my stay. The manager try to excuse his behavior, but that was not justified nor excusable.
