Excellent, quiet location near the heart of the city. The staff were nice and noise was minimal. You could have your window open and sleep through the night with no disturbances. The breakfast spread was nothing special, but it was a more than welcome amenity all things considered! I would stay here again if/when I come back to Iceland

Easy check in - if you have internet service to get the code. Liked the adjoining kitchen for use of just two rooms. Close to downtown - water, church, excellent pizza restaurant. Peaceful. Bare bones but that was appreciated in order to keep the room price down. Would stay again!

Thank you for a lovely stay! The rooms, kitchen, and bathroom were very comfortable and clean. Staff were absolutely lovely. Breakfast was delicious, and the location cannot be beat for charm and ease of transportation.

Great Location in Central Reykjavík The location is excellent—right near Hallgrímskirkja Church. We parked at the nearby P3 parking area, which was free on the weekend. The church, the Old Harbour, and most major attractions were all within walking distance. Check-in was a little complicated because it took us some time to find the correct building and then the right entrance among several doors. Other than that, everything was good. The room was clean and comfortable.Overall, I would give it 4.5 stars, with 5 stars for the location.

Great location, reasonable price, good breakfast. For the most part we really appreciated it, We wrongly assumed “shared bathroom” meant that shower & toilet would be shared with another room and it turned out it was for 4 double rooms - and people from the floor above came down to use facilities because there was the same situation on there floor. - it’s really not ample enough for the number of people.

My room at the Guesthouse Aurora was great, nice size room had a small sink in my room to wash my face in the morning. The bathroom is shared, but usually is open. There is a bathroom on each floor, so in an emergency you should be able to find one open if you can’t wait. Breakfast was downstairs: breads, cheese, ham slices, hard boiled eggs, some cut up vegetables and cereals. Coffee and teas also available and all included in the room cost! Overall, it was a good place and so close to the main tourist destinations. I would stay here again!

That was a great stay for the night. The free breakfast was a huge perk and the room was comfortable. We got lucky with our timing to get free street parking for the night, but the free parking on site that we relied on wasn’t available. This didn’t impact our stay, but just a heads up!
