"We really enjoyed our time in our static bus. The views of the mountain were superb, and it was nice to be able to walk some way up the side of it, to about 150 m. I could have gone higher if I was suitably equipped.
The bus itself was well equipped, though the kettle took a long time to boil. We planned our hot drinks well in advance. Linda was very helpful and supplied a bowl to do the dishes as there was no stopper in the sink.

"The Flybus from the airport took us to the bus station and then from there we waited for our color-coded bus to take us to the hotel. We waited to depart the airport quite a long time because the bus waited until it was completely full before departing. The journey took 50 minutes to the bus station, a wait of 15 minutes for our second bus and then another 10 minutes to the hotel. The wait for the second bus was a bit confusing because there was no one there to inform us as to when the second bus would arrive. The hotel receptionist wasn't very friendly. But our room on the 14th floor had a nice view of the harbor and was very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide variety of foods available. It opened at 6:30am and was immediately crowded with tour groups. The hotel staff were not too friendly and didn't look happy that they were there, but I think they were not purposely being rude. We rode a taxi back to the airport to avoid the bus situation and it cost $179 for the 50 minute ride. The location of the hotel is very nice within walking distance to the city's tourist sites. Overall a nice stay but I would probably want to try another hotel if we ever find ourselves in Reykjavik again."
"Lovely hotel. We arrived on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready a couple of hours before check-in, which was greatly appreciated after traveling.
We stayed in Room 808 (an executive room,) which was clean, comfortable, and appeared to have been refreshed recently. One unique feature was the shared balcony on the 8th floor, where we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights one evening. Access is through a door outside the guest rooms rather than directly from the room itself, which we actually preferred. Some rooms do have direct balcony access, so if you use the shared space, just be mindful of noise and avoid standing directly in front of other guests' doors.
The breakfast was quite good. There was a nice selection of coffee and tea, eggs, bacon, sausage, skyr, fresh fruit, assorted breads, and pastries, which gave us plenty of options before heading out for the day.
The only issue we encountered was that a couple of days into our stay I noticed I had been charged the full cost of the room on my credit card even though I had prepaid through Hotels.com. When I mentioned it at the front desk, the staff quickly looked into it and processed a refund right away.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, the staff was helpful, the breakfast was good, and the early check-in was a wonderful surprise. I'd happily stay here again and would recommend it to others visiting Iceland."
"I stayed at the Center Hotel for a week. The staff and services were great, and the Sky Bar and Spa are totally worth trying out. It is very close to the Harpa Center, the ocean and a walkable distance to all the cool spots in the city. I would highly recommend choosing the Center Hotel for your next stay in Iceland."
"The staff was very accommodating when I wanted to check in early. My room was ready very quickly and I got upgraded to a tower view room. The building is beautiful, staff is helpful, and the hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of town. My only thing I would warn others about is that there’s currently construction being done, so you’ll hear noises from the construction crew, but it didn’t bother me as I was gone most of the day anyways. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Reykjavík!"
"Lovely staff, wonderful breakfast, nice hotel and great location. I thought they had a spa, but their spa was actually a lounge … no sauna or soaking….. otherwise perfect."
