Enjoyed our stay , it is really beautifully located and well maintained. There are cute sheep you can feed and pet that my son enjoyed looking at. Its super close to big attractions like skogafoss and Dyrholaey Beach. There is a restaurant right across the street that is incredibly convenient. Beds were not that comfortable but overall a great stay.
Liked the property and location. Check in easy, thank you. The room was very small, mostly the bunk bed. Not a problem in itself but it could be helpful to have a smaller chest to give a bit more room to those with two pieces of luggage.
Clean but small room (which is to expect) had everything we needed to sleep and cook dinner/breakfast. No soap in shower however, but lots of hot water!
My partner and I stayed here for one evening. It’s comfortable and convenient for travellers passing thru. It’s a good place for solo travellers and partners. Easy to find, this one almost had a bit of a hostel vibe to it. We had bunk beds. There is a communal kitchen where you can cook, a fridge where you can store your food. Shared bathrooms but there are multiple, all clean. The property is well maintained and though there wasn’t any staff to greet us, they gave us easy instructions for our check in. The area is beautiful and there is also a restaurant across the street which was convenient, cute and full of history. Thank you for the great and easy stay!
Great location for getting to Vik, black sand beaches, beautiful
Waterfalls plus more. We only stopped for a night so didn’t really use the kitchen but would be a great option if you wanted to cook your own food. Shared bathrooms were not an issue. Rated a 4 as there was no hot water so that meant no shower (fine for one night but not sure about longer) but had been emailed ahead of time and never did see any ‘caretaker’who was to have been there when we arrived but room was set up so all worked fine. You do get some road noise as right on the main highway.
Our room was clean and large. Kitchen/dining area was large with all the essentials. The view from the house was great also. My family really enjoyed the stay.
Friendly staff, good room, bathing and kitchen facilities are great. The close by and associated restaurant Gamla Flosid offers good food and service. I have no complaints and recommend South Iceland Guesthouse.
We had a wonderful stay here. The beds were so comfortable and the room was very clean. We ate dinner at their restaurant across the road and had the best Icelandic cod. Bathrooms were clean and shower was nice. I would recommend this place to a friend.
Great place with spacious rooms. Floor in the main lobby is also heated. Showers/bathrooms are clean with good water pressure. Check out time is a bit early which is the only downside (10am)
