"Lovely place to stay. Was the perfect last night in Ireland for us. Their family dog Gracie was a big highlight for our little girl who played with her. Thanks for having us!"

Great views of Trim castle from the roof bar and surrounding countryside. Shame the entrance doors are not automatic as it would help when trying to get luggage into hotel.

We booked a cabin and received a nice upgrade to a cottage, which was very clean, well decorated, quiet, and peaceful. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was roomy to cook in, plus there was a nice area to sit outside and gaze at the sweet cows. It's a lovely destination in itself and not far from Trim.

A surprisingly beautiful location considering it is right next to the N3, however I hardly noticed the traffic and so enjoyed the other side of the hotel which runs right down to the lakeside (as the name suggests) where you can sit out and sample the hotel's fine food and/or beer. An easy bike ride away is Lough Crew which is well worth a visit for the full 360* panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the megalithic pathway tombs on top of the hill.

I liked the warm welcome from the reception and waitressing staff. The house keeping was excellent. The flowers at the entrance were fabulous. The chef cooks a great steak. The bed was comfy . There is Netflix. It’s good value .

From the very beginning, before we even arrived at the hotel, it was clear the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and grounds are immaculate and the countryside setting is stunning. The walks around the grounds are so peaceful. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks while staying there and couldn't find fault with anything. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, we even got to have a look around 10 bedroom Balyna House which can be rented out with its own bar and butler and a cool...
