We had a great stay...everything up to the standard you'd expect from a Shangri-La property. The staff were very helpful and really went out of their way to get us settled in. The hotel is right by the May 4th Square metro station, so easy access to the city as well as Qingdao Railway Station. The MixC shopping mall is across the street so very convenient as well. The breakfast buffet was excellent, full range of Western and Chinese dishes.

There are 2 buildings for this Shangrila. The one for non-suites standard rooms is rather old. Other facilities and services are as expected.

The location is excellent, convenient to go to various tourist spots we planned to go. Thanks reception staff Eve/Eva Lau for making arrangement for a good view room and providing us a comfortable drinks in waiting. The starting 20 minutes in hotel is so critical, that we can have a enjoyable and comfortable three-day trip in TsingDao. And the birthday cake, whole cake!!, is so tasty. Thanks for the hotel's generosity and hospitality.

We had such a wonderful stay in this hotel even before we arrived, the director Jim Zhang from Concierge department had been helping us to arrange the pick up and drop off from and to the railway stations and also the three-day tours. All the staffs were very helpful and very good restaurants. We tried all three of them. The breakfast buffet was amazing and food from the other two restaurants were delicious and fabulous. The afternoon tea was very fresh in the comfortable lobby setting. We will come back next time when we travel around Qingdao.

Excellent hotel, nice large rooms, with probably the largest bed I have ever slept in. Huge buffet breakfast and evening meals. If you want a seafood extravaganza, this is the place for you. The hardest part is choosing what to eat. All for a very reasonable price, so much choice. Beer and soft drinks included. The only negative for me was that I was unable to find a gin and tonic at the hotel. Taxis are surprisingly cheap. 70 minute rides for only 200 yuan. Recommend visiting the waterfront for the light shows in the evening. And a 10 yuan taxi ride to Fifty-Two Bar. Excellent views and atmosphere.

My family had a lovely stay in Shangri La Qingdao. Everything was perfect, from location next to May Fourth Square station and a mega shopping mall MixC, very clean room to excellent customer service (special mention to York who helped us with check-in and Mr Yan who cleaned our room). I would certainly stay here again in my next visit to Qingdao.

Very nice room in the Valley Wing. The buffet breakfast is included daily (covering two persons per room). The restaurant at lobby level offers amazing choices with a high cooking and serving food stations, serving Chinese breakfast, pastry, Korean and Japanese food (for breakfast). The staff members are all polite and professional. For the daily all inclusive room rate of about RMB 2000 per night, it is a good deal.
