"We had a very nice Spring Break stay at El Conquistador. The property sits in a spectacular location with beautiful ocean views and access to a private island beach that was one of the highlights of our trip. The resort shows some of its age in places, especially for those who remember it from its Waldorf Astoria days. Everything was clean and comfortable, though some areas could benefit from updating, and a few amenities were unavailable during our visit. The staff was friendly, and we had an outstanding meal at the Puerto Rican restaurant—easily one of the best experiences on the property. Families will likely have a great time here, especially with the pools, beach, and activities. Just be prepared for some lines when taking the boat to the island beach and for a fair amount of walking or riding between different sections of the resort. One pleasant surprise was the golf course. I’m not a golfer, but even I could tell it looked spectacular. The setting alone makes me want to come back and give it a try someday. Overall, El Conquistador is a very good family resort in a beautiful setting. It may not feel quite as polished as it once did, but it still offers a memorable Puerto Rico vacation experience."

"Great place. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Grounds are beautifully kept. Enjoyed the pool and bar. Has free parking, and do need car to get to beaches and restaurants as is not walkable to most areas of interest. Has a small dock across the road in case coming to Culebra on a private boat. Have been twice and will return."

"Great stay I would recommend booking the villa if you are staying here. It comes with its own kitchen. It’s bigger than the other units as well. And worth a short stay away from all of the Esperanza fun and a more local experience. You can tell they are passionate so I would support this property."
