Clean and comfortable place to stay

It is a good place to stay when doing the Bernina Express route, there are also multiple hiking trails nearby. The hostel was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The sauna was an unexpected bonus as we arrived a bit wet and cold.

Clean and simple, away from the crowds and costs of St. Moritz. Memory foam mattresses were a plus! Hot water wasn't super consistent, but it's an old building and not near any of the villages, so that's not surprising. The room was quite hot when we entered, as the radiator had been set to the max. Level 1-2 is plenty for rooms of this size, and it will take quite some time to cool down unless the windows are opened.

As good as it gets

This small hotel has all the earmarks of well-run Swiss hospitality: excellent dinners, friendly, helpful staff, courteous to a fault. The views of Lago Bianco and Lago Noir from our corner room were excellent. No TV in our room, which I consider a feature. The absence of an elevator was alleviated by immediate assistance by the staff to carry our luggage to our room on the top floor. Climbing four floors to our room was slightly difficult, due to our ages and the altitude at this continental divide. A revisit, especially during spring or summer, would be quite welcome.

Discover this gem

The place is in a perfect location to experience the alps at 2,309 m. Ample space to park or in our case easy to get to from the railway station. They offer a pickup from the nearby station if one doesn’t want to walk 500 m uphill from the closest one. Friendly multi language service. Rooms were very cosy and quiet. Excellent food and drinks from local suppliers. We have travelled extensively in Switzerland, this place is one of a kind 😀

Wir reisten mit 2 90jährigen Personen via Zug an. Da der Weg von der Stazione zum Hospiz für unsere betagten Mitreisenden unmöglich zu bewältigen gewesen wäre, hat das Hotel uns jemanden aus dem Bekanntenkreis geschickt, um uns so ins Hospiz zu fahren. Ein Shuttle ist im Sommer grundsätzlich nicht vorgesehen. Dafür bedanken wir uns nochmals ganz ganz herzlich!

Struttura avente punto strategico con vista mozzafiato (d’altronde è dove c’e la fermata più alta di tutto il tragitto), ottima la cena, discreta la colazione, unica pecca, nel 2023 non è passabile il fatto che il wifi non funzioni (neanche si connetteva), a loro detta, per la troppa gente connessa.. Servizio necessario specialmente in Svizzera visto che i piani tariffari non includono il roaming per questa nazione. Nel complesso voto positivo, 8.
