"Older hotel, and didn’t feel like it was in a safe area. Not the cleanest but not awful. We were just passing through and needed a place to stay, and it served its purpose."

"Extremely helpful, friendly, polite staff from doorman, front desk, to housekeeping staff. Great location at BART station, convenient to UC Berkeley. "

"Cleanliness of my room was a turnoff. The tile floors in the entry, kitchen and bathroom were sticky. The sofa had scratch marks that appeared to be pet damage. The remote battery cover was missing and replaced with black electrical tape. It looked like my room had been through the wringer and rather than properly repair or replace, bandaid fixes were implemented. I was not told pets were allowed to stay previously in the room I was assigned. I’m allergic to dogs and woke up with severe allergies. Upon further inspection, there was pet hair stuck in large quantities around the base of the bed. "

"Tom at the front desk is very personable and kind, definitely felt special! Unfortunately, the pool and jacuzzi were broken and the elevator needs some maintenance. Had to push the button 3 times for it to open! Staff at breakfast was pleasant and bed was comfortable"

"Had a great experience here. Only issue we had was that they had given us the room on the ground floor, closest to the front desk. It was very noisy, especially in the evening. Other than that, we had a nice stay. "

"We checked in and the Room was damp, floor boards was raised at the ends from the dampness. No air filtration system in the rooms and felt like I was out of oxygen. We immediately asked reception to move us and they change our room to another room exactly the same so we decided to cancel our reservation and try and find another place. We found a room at residence inn at Wallnut creek and room was decent."

"Was surprised by nightly parking fee; cleaning products made the room smell terrible; TV didn't work right; we thought breakfast was included, and the price was ridiculous for what we got. Will NOT stay here again, or recommend to anyone."
