"Photos on Hotels.com suggested a quaint nicely decorated and maintained seaside hotel. Perhaps the water-facing rooms were in better shape but our standard rooms that faced the back weren't. The shower in my brother's room dark gloomy room was covered in black mold that gave him a headache and nasal congestion. A health department in the US would have condemned it. They gave him a better room after he complained the next day, after comparing it with mine which, had a bad ceiling patch but...

"Stayed for a night. Friendly staff. It's an older building but still in good condition. Rooms are small but comfortable and have everything you need. Shared bathroom was very clean. Convenient parking lot next door."

"Everyone was most accommodating and went out of their way to assist. The nicest touch was the to go breakfast bag placed outside each guests’s door. Would gladly stay there again. It didn’t hurt that Oban is an absolutely beautiful seaside town!"
