Somersal B&B is a real gem. The owners are lovely, the house is charming and surrounded by exquisite gardens over a very large area. It is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Thank you John and Christie.

The lovely hosts of this property created a stunning atmosphere that was calming and relaxing. They made a breakfast for us that was the best we had had up to that point. The room was cozy and very well kept. We highly recommend staying at this property and we will definitely return to stay if we find ourselves in the area again in the future.

Friendly, helpful hosts for a very clean and comfortable stay in park -like surroundings. Peaceful overnight stay for Pirongia walk next day. The breakfast was wonderful too.

In a most pleasant and soothing rural location, the room was spacious and had everything we needed and a bit else beside. The cooked breakfast included in the package was generous and very nicely set the day off for the continuation of our journey

Comfortable stay

Overnight stay to see Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton. Hotel located just outside local town. Hotel in picturesque setting used for weddings. Very peaceful, big rooms, kind host and home cooked breakfast. There were sheep in the field which we could see from our room which our son enjoyed.

We had the room w/ en suite. The room was large clean and not only was the bed comfortable but also was the sofa that turned into a bed. The ambiance of the entire B&B is wonderful. The plus was not only the many areas to sit, relax, and contemplate but our host, John was very helpful. For breakfast, we had a choice of a hot or cold, or both and it was excellent.

Great B & B, friendly, generous hosts!

It was the perfect location and hospitality for our visit to Waitomo glow worm caves and bushwalking! Dinners were very good at the local tavern! Highly recommend it all!!

Great B&B, friendly and informative hosts

Jenny and John were most welcoming and made us feel at home. The breakfasts were excellent especially Jenny's homemade savoury muffins. We had an itinerary planned and Jenny kindly pointed us in the direction of some other sites not in guide book and that made our trip. Excellent.
