"This hotel was located right across from the beach and had also right across from the supermarket from the other entrance. Since they didn’t provide shampoo, we needed to get one. When we did not feel like eating out, we just bought some food there. The air conditioning didn’t work so well, we had bit of uncomfortable situations, but overall the room has plenty of space. The staff were very nice and helpful. We had a great stay in this hotel."

"Lots to like about this hotel. The staff were great, hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Coffee maker , kettle , tea, coffee and a small free mini bar are very nice extras as well as a coffee and cakes available every afternoon in reception.The breakfast was extra but good value. We had a room with a balcony / sea view which was lovely- it's just very noisy sitting out as the hotel is on the main road . With the windows shut however you can hardly hear any noise . Parking is provided at a cost ( 25 euros per day on site or 15 euros in a secure car park 5 minutes walk away)- I think you would need to pre book in high season. The hotel is just on the outskirts of Menton so a mile to the Centre and maybe 2 miles to the old town which is lovely. Lots of restaurants in the centre and on the promenade along the route. We enjoyed l'avenue in particular. The only slight issue we had was that the room smelled of cigarette smoke on arrival - the staff thought it may be due to people smoking on nearby balconies? It wasn't pleasant but the staff offered sprays for the room etc and it faded after a few days but as smoking is allowed on balconies , if people leave doors open it may drift into the room. The hairdryer is also rubbish so if you need one I would take your own. Again the very helpful staff lent me one for a few days. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it ."

"This is a fantastic property, you feel you are still in 1890 with the interior kept to that standard and time. Wonderful seating areas with a 1900 bar make you feel Poirot will come around a corner. Breakfast is served in a grand hall makes you think you are dining with royalty. We'll lo e to come back in the near future"
