"We had a lovely sea view room with a shaded porch seating area. Room servicing was excellent apart from reminders to renew coffee sachets occasionally.
Staff overall were excellent especially in the pool area which they worked hard to keep to a high standard of service, and also reception. At breakfast, some staff did not seem that customer focused, possibly due to limited spoken English. Breakfast items tended to be limited on choice after 09.00, even with an advertised closure time of 10.00. The single tea/coffee machine caused queueing quite often.
An early breakfast is the best choice!
Air conditioning throughout the hotel was excellent.
The bar and terrace facility is lovely, but might benefit from a wider menu choice, especially in the evening, an option some may prefer to the main restaurant.
Catania is easily accessed by bus from outside the hotel; Remember to validate your ticket(s), as the inspector often checks!
Overall this hotel has a high standard, in a lovely coastal location, with well appointed comfortable rooms, and generally well managed."
"Unbelievable hotel!!! The location along the coast is absolutely gorgeous. The pool & restaurant is stunning but the real spectacular part is the private beach through the cave. Unbelievable. Safe, secure, not crowded, clean, spectacular water & bar, for drinks & snacks. Really a gem! You lose the sun later in the day, so take advantage early on. Bring good sandals / water shoes. The rocks & pebbles going down to the water can be tough on the feet. You’ll love this place! I really enjoyed my time here!!"
Four Points by Sheraton Catania Hotel & Conference Center
10/10 Excellent
"Parking was fantastic, especially our parking valet Joseph. I do not like the small spaces & he really helped me & I many others park our cars.
The staff was lovely - everyone was very kind.
However, I did not really enjoy the layout in regard to views. To enjoy the seaview from my room, I had to stand in the middle of my room - you can’t see it sitting. Even from the balcony, the plants & planter block the view. It was the same for the pool area. Only, 5 lounge chairs, next to the shower, have a view. You must stand to see anything pretty from the other pool lounge chairs.
I do not understand why the view is not more accessible/enjoyable. It is a shame that the design hides the best part of the hotel."
"Everything was wonderful. Pleasant staff and comfortable resort atmosphere. Good food. Great location. Could stay there for a week or two. I already want to go back!"
