"I was in charge of 3.5 million square feet of 'BACK OF THE HOUSE" space for a huge medical center in NYC for over 2 decades. This included 7 acute care hospitals with over 3,500 beds. So I hope you understand I'm vary familiar with being disappointed
whenever I've stayed in a hotel, motel, etc.
However, this time, my stay put a huge smile on my face.
I was VERY Pleasantly surprised by how much this management and staff of this facility has taken over a poorly run, dirty and not very pleasant smelling facility and fixed so many things that the average person wouldn't notice, such as:
-BthRm immaculate
-BthRm upgraded to be able to accommodate those who are ambulatory challenged
-Towels, soft, not stiff and heavily smelling of perfume (to mask not being clean)
-BthRm ventilation works
-Bedding is white, not gray and has no strong odor of harsh soap.
Floors are well maintained; carpeting/furniture are clean; no odors. Even the HVAC unit had the grate cleaned so there was no dust/debris that was blown out into the room
when HVAC was blowing.
Over-all, I'd make only a couple of suggestions:
-Add a runner to the floor as you exit the swimming pool going both toward the front lobby to the elevator and the rear to the 1st floor rooms. All the water drips on the
hard tile floors stand out and with little children scampering around with wet feel, the
floor is slippery
-Add on option so individuals staying more than 1 night can request the option of having their garbage emptied."
