I had a weeks golfing lined up in Pattaya, I booked with Expedia (Australia) for a week at the 3star Glow. It is in a great location, just of Soi Bukakow right next to both the night-life and where our golf HQ is.
There I was on cloud 9 heading for a week of relaxation, flight and taxi on time, everything running like clockwork. Upon trying to book in, I was met with a mixture of a couldn't care less attitude and hostility by the staff. They claimed that I hadn't booked, when I showed them my email confirmation and that I had even pre-paid, it made not a jot of difference. "You have paper, we not have paper, you not book with us". So, suitcase and golf clubs in hand, I was literally "sent packing"....luckily (a) I know my way round Pattaya (b) it isn't yet high season, so I found another hotel to book into.
I popped round to see the Manager of Glow Hotel the next day. It was clear the reception staff hadn't informed him of my plight..he merely smiled and didn't seem too bothered.
My conclusion is that be very careful to get confirmation direct from this hotel of your booking. If you don't you might end up like me - unceremoniously told to go and find somewhere else.
I have yet to have the issue resolved by Expedia, they are having difficulty getting a response from Glow Hotel...why am I not surprised LOL.
