"My only negatives is the AC in my room did nit work to my liking. Took too long for my room to cool down. I booked a room with a washer machine but i got one without one. Other than that this hotel and location is amazing."
"Management are overcharging customers on items. I accidentally went to use the bedside phone and the lamp on the side table electric plug was wrapped around the phone and when I pulled the phone towards me it tangled with the lamp cord and the lamp fell and broke the cheap glass cover. I took it to reception and explained. The next day I got a bill for 5000 bht which is $153. Went to the front desk and asked for the manager and explained why a cheap lamp cost $153 . They said normally the charge customers 3 times the price of anything broken. I asked where that is I the rental agreement for the room. Anyways they changed it to 3000 bht because actually it cost 2900 bht. I said you own some responsibility as you had the wires all tangled and when I went to use phone it caused the breakage"
"Solo traveler. Stayed for one week in a 1 bedroom suite. Room was very nice and spacious. Very nice to have a washer/dryer in the room. Excellent fitness facility. The pool is large and beautiful. Staff very professional and friendly. Buffet breakfast was just okay. Food was sometimes not hot. Both American and Thai selection is nice. The hotel is in a nice quieter street with 7/11 right next to it. A lot of things to do and see within walking distance. I walked everywhere I went. Went to Lumphini Park, MBK Mall, World Cwnter Mall, Paragon Siam Mall. Walked to Nana Plaza area wbich is where I am going to next hotel. I highly recommend Gran Centre. But if you’re looking for street bars and restaurants and a lot of street food. I think Nana is more suited. "
Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld
4/10 Poor
"The worst hotel in Bangkok. The location sounds good, but it really isn’t. To get out of here, you have to go through the mall. The journey starts with elevators that can take you about 10 minutes just to reach the lobby on the 23rd floor. Then you have to walk to another elevator (the convention center one) that takes you down to the 7th floor of the mall.
From there, you go through the parking area to a supermarket, which is the exit point into the mall, and then you still need to go down 7 more floors—either by escalators or a small elevator that you’ll wait at least 10 minutes for if you’re lucky.
After that, you cross an entire floor just to reach the Skywalk. Now imagine you forgot something in your room… not funny.
If you choose to go directly down from the 23rd floor to the street, you’ll end up on a road where no taxi wants to enter via Bolt. You’ll just stand there and quickly understand why. It took us 35 minutes just to get out of the street corner near the hotel. The traffic here is unbelievably bad all the time.
In short, skip this bizarre hotel. There are so many other hotels nearby for half the price. The furniture is old, the service is average, and overall it’s a huge disappointment. "
