Could easily be a lot better
Stay here lot’s mainly due to location! It’s a pretty old hotel and the rooms need a renovating! Not enough non smoking rooms so it not alway possible to book a room. Breakfast could be a lot better! Need more variety of fruit, better coffee, better bread and real butter would be a good start

Ox Ville è sicuramente un hotel conveniente per la prossimità al porto, specialmente per che vuole andare alle mentawai Purtroppo avevano solo una stanza da fumatori. Inoltre durante la notte c’era molto rumore in giro per l’hotel.

Had a lovely stay at Ox ville. The kids really enjoyed the pool and very good wifi connection. Everything is clean and in good repair. The staff are very friendly and professional. Beautiful compact property layout and building design. Close to good dining options and many of the attractions in Padang. Highly recommended.

The picture of the hotel is photoshopped. It doesn't look this nice and the little cinnamon coffee is a little bit to more to the right. Not cool Ox Ville, you can't photoshop the front of your hotel like that, it is misleading. The food was barely ok and there were a lot of mosquitos in the open dining area. Internet was really slow. Other than that it was ok.

Another great stay at Ox Ville. This hotel is still easily the best hotel (and best value hotel) in Padang. I've stayed in many others and none is as comfortable and well run. The hotel grounds themselves are very pleasant. The two buildings are well designed around a central swimming pool with a great restaurant and outdoor patio. High ratio of staff to guests. The staff are some of the most professional, friendly, and welcoming hotel staff I have encountered. I've stayed in several of the rooms and they have always been clean and well maintained. I highly recommend Ox Ville and will be returning there again.

The BEST hotel in Padang (Hotel yang paling baik!)
The Ox Ville is the best hotel I've stayed at in Padang. The building has a beautiful layout, set out around a compact central swimming pool. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean. When I first arrived, I noticed a staff member cleaning the balcony across from me, carefully wiping down the veranda rail and the arms of the lounge chairs. If you've stayed at other hotels here, you'd know how rare that level of attention to detail is. The furniture was comfortable and in very good condition. Two minor issues were that the bathroom basin plug wasn't working and it sometimes took a minute for hot water to arrive in the shower, but some small problems are inevitable in Indonesian hotels. Reception staff were friendly and had a very high standard of English (handy if you're an English speaker at least). There was a very high ratio of staff to guests. The breakfast was good and other meals from the kitchen were delicious and reasonably priced compared to most hotels; several simple local dishes made with fresh ingredients. Perhaps best of all, the room was such good value for money. I've stayed in several more expensive hotels in Padang, Dumai and Pekanbaru that were nowhere near as comfortable and clean.If you can find a better hotel in Padang, I'd be amazed. I just wish it wasn't so heavily booked-out as I'd like to come back with family next year! I highly recommend Ox Ville.

Personnel souriant, mais ne comprend pas parfaitement l’anglais et donc nos demandes. Aucun tour d’organiser via l’hôtel, il faut donc se débrouiller seul. Du a sa proximité avec l’aéroport de Padang, cet hôtel est sympa uniquement pour une halte d’un soir... pour ensuite aller sur les îles qui n’en sont pas loin !

GREAT LOCATION, EXCELLENT SERVICE
The location is great. Three blocks from the river, 5 from the beach and 5 from the Museum. The property was very clean, with nice hot water, cold air conditioner, and few good English T.V. channels. I did not found many restaurants in town but the one in the Hotel was very good and well priced. What impress me most was the service. I made the mistake to book the Hotel for the wrong date. They did not make any drama about that. They made a call to Hotels.com and in 15 minutes the situation was solved and I got my room 4 hours, before check in time. I found all staff including the manager to be very friendly and ready to accommodate any request. Without question the place to stay at a budget price. Highly recommended !!

Nicely maintained
Valuable for money, clean and stylish hotel. Walking distance to siti nurbahaya bridge. Friendly english speaking staffs! Will definitely return!

Very comfortable stay at Oxville
Oxville is the place to stay at - the check-in and check-out was very good, very efficient. The standard of service and cleanliness of the room was very satisfactory. When we asked for an early wake-up call, the reception offered to have breakfast prepared for us specially since we would miss the complimentary breakfast due to our early departure. We would stay at this hotel again - this hotel gives value for your money.

Good breakfast and clean room/hotel.
Clean room and property. Breakfast was served early from 630am, which works well for us as we needed to depart to the airport by 715am. The range and quality of the breakfast was very decent too. Note to other travellers - you can use Grab around Padang. Very convenient and cheap

Nice place to stay. Only downside: there is a limited number of Wifi connections. It seems like no more than 2 device can be connected to the wifi at the same time. So good luck to you if you want to whatsapp on your phone while you surf the web on your laptop. Staff are nice but mostly lack English proficiency.

Great transit hotel
Stayed here as a transit hotel. Staff were very kind, clean rooms. There's a fantastic little coffee shop right next door too! We walked through the town all day. We felt very safe, no issues. Cheaper to get taxi to the hotel from airport, 120,000 instead of the 200,000 that OxVille charges. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel With Nice Designs & Comfort Room
Very good deluxe room with free WiFi yet facing the pool and restaurant with attentive staffs and good foods at restaurant eventhou its much more expensive. Nice Nemos pool, great environment and peaceful surrounding. Bedsheets not very clean at room 211. Dirty staines. Less lightning in room. Very dark. Cockroaches found in room. My husband managed to kill all by own. Bathroom need some maintainance on wall. Sink leaking and stained. Less smiles on reception staffs. Breakfast said to be 7am to 10am. But when we went down. No more breakfast. The staffs told us their breakfast were all finished at 4am! So the restaurant cooked fried mee and fried rice for us only. 2 days we never had chance to have our buffets breakfast. I hope they can make it better to serve the guests buffets breakfast as mentioned from 7am to 10am. No cons to guests. All these need to be improve but all these problems will not stop us to go back to the hotel if we fly to Padang again because I believed they will improve by guests reviews and may able to do it better in future. Looking forward for their changes to attract more guests to the hotel. Thank you very much to D Oxville Hotel. No bikes rental here but you can rent a bike out there for your convenient to go around Padang. Highly recommended to travellers to D Oxville Hotel if your budget are not too tight. Enjoy and cheers. :)
