Everything was great; my only issue was that the restaurant and other nearby options closed at 8 pm. However, the staff referred me to a food delivery service for food, which was the only way to get food other than having to drive to find food.

GPS took us to the wrong location, not the hotels’ fault, but it was harder to find than expected. The biggest issue we had is the shower had a floor to ceiling window to the outside. It was frosted, but it made showering uncomfortable. Also the elevator was interesting. It was almost like it was a warehouse lift for pallets.

Mooi hotel, zeker voor de prijs. 4 persoons kamer was ruim. Goede bedden ook. Leuk personeel dat altijd probeert je goed te helpen. Details om op te letten, boven was de kamer behoorlijk warm en ventilatie was beperkt. Er hing een gek geurtje in de badkamer. Het hotel staat naast een kerk met klok die in gebruik is, dus elk half uur de klok. Mocht je niet goed tegen dat soort geluiden kunnen tijdens je slaap dan moet je deze overslaan.

Bij aankomst was er enorme onduidelijkheid over onze reservering. Het baliepersoneel kon geen wijs uit de bevestiging van Expedia (twee eenpersoonskamers op 1 naam ipv op 2 verschillende namen. Ik heb kamers met ontbijt geboekt. Nu bleek dat het ontbijt pas vanaf 8 uur geserveerd werd. Dat was te laat voor ons. Het was handig geweest als op de site de tijdstippen van het ontbijt was vermeld. Er is door het personeel wel nog een poging gedaan om een lunchpakket te maken, maar dat was geheel zonder aandacht. Een paar boterhammen met kaas en boterhammen met ham. zonder boter, niet gesneden. Weliswaar goed dat men moeite heeft gedaan om onze medewerkers toch van wat eten te voorzien, maar wel erg karig en zonder bezieling.

Goed bed, kamer totaal niet praktisch, ruim maar in een scheve opstelling waardoor je niet fatsoenlijk om het bed kon. Doucheruimte veel te klein,je kon je nauwelijks keren in de ruimte. Douche en toilet met een gigantische op/afstap vanuit de kamer, vooral niet ideaal als je duf uit je slaap naar de wc moet. Ontbijt was redelijk maar wel beperkt kwa aanbod. Storend was het om het personeel achter de bar luidruchtig met elkaar te kletsen.

Gemoedelijk hotel in slaperig dorp

Prima uitvalsbasis voor weekend in Drenthe met zelfs hunebedden op loopafstand (wel even goed zoeken). Comfortabele bedden, alleen de kussens waren vel te dik en er waren helaas geen andere, dunnere kussens beschikbaar. Maar dat was ook het enige minpuntje.
