"Location is great. The hotel is old and needs a lot of work. That being said, I did feel it was clean and safe. Big plus is Benedict’s on property, excellent breakfast. "

"Had a great time at Humphreys! The property was beautiful and well kept - we even had the surprise of finding the tropical birds. The location was also great, quiet island with views of San Diego, yet a close drive to being downtown, sunset cliffs, and La Jolla. Two minor notes, we upgraded to a suite and the bed was right by the door and not by the balcony, we would’ve enjoyed laying in bed and looking out at the marina and tropical plants. Additionally, this layout kept us close to the hall and both nights we were woken up to people loudly talking as they walked through the hotel halls. The other minor thing was housekeeping was late enough each day, where we respectfully had to decline, as we were gone all day and when we got back at 4, that’s when they were going to start cleaning our room. We were still able to get fresh towels but it was disappointing on the timing. Overall would stay again! "

"This is a hotel that you stay for the wonderful ocean view,harbor and docking your boat. A must stay for us.Excellent chef! Happy hour Ahi Tuna …the best I have ever eaten! Staff very friendly and helpful. Bellhop very friendly and energetic to help with luggage. Beautiful park across the street,overlooking the ocean. "

"Super cute, hip, hotel with beautiful grounds and the best view of the ocean. The kids loved the pool and all the pool amenities. Drink your beverage by the firepit for the best sunset view! The only reason why I would give it four stars, is because it could use some updating, but it appears the owners are making an effort."

"The location is very beautiful. The property sits on the water and has great views. The rooms are good size. The food was just ok, the location of the restaurant and bar are again very pretty . We waited 40 minutes one night to get some bread and a salad. We kept getting other people’s orders that we had to redirect . Overall a nice place but we didn’t get housekeeping one day for no reason . The hotel is disorganized and under staffed . The servers were all very friendly but frazzled as well ."
