We tried for over a month to cancel our reservation with this hotel by various method and as we are in Canada the time difference was difficult for phone calls. We reached out to Expedia to contact them which they were still trying to do as of last Friday the 4th as they couldn’t get a hold of them either. Every other hotel we booked for our trip refunded money even if they didn’t have I yet this place didn’t. Due to Covid restrictions here in Canada and in the UK and flights being cancelled there was no way for us to come. Their no refund policy doesn’t allow for the current situation yet their own website states that stays are for essential travel only and proof may be required yet they don’t have the courtesy to return messages or emails to their customers. When we are finally able to come over we will not be booking here again. Maybe it is a nice place who knows but their customer service is very poor

Good accommodation, fairly clean and good service. The hotel was a tad run down and needs some updating but for the money we paid, it was worth it.

2 nights at Pine Lodge

Easy to find , ample parking , friendly welcome , bit of a walk to the main part of Newquay but manageable, room was small with a very small bathroom, relatively clean but quite basic accommodation considering it’s not a basic price in my opinion , bed was comfy however the walls are thin and we had a noisy family next door who decided to have showers at midnight and you could hear the shower motor through the wall ,the breakfast was also only from 8-9 which doesn’t give you much time to use it if you want to rest , expect breakfast to be open till 10 usually , it was overall a nice stay.

Overall great experience in this lovely lodge

Really enjoyed staying at the Pine Lodge for our short trip Cornwall. We stayed in room 2A, it's a nice cosy small double room, bed is very comfortable and everything was clean. Lia and Ash were lovely hosts... we told them we had to check out very early in the morning and they kindly prepared continental breakfast for us to take for the journey. Very pleased with our stay and will defo come back. Thank you

They had a lovely big room for our large family with a small seating area outside it. Its hard to get a room big enough for our family of 6 but this was perfect !!! There was an amazing pool area which the kids loved and he property is only a short walk into town.Breakfast was deliciously and the staff were lovely we wouldnt hesitiate to stay again

One of the worst experiences in a bnb.

We visited Cornwall and booked pine lodge after seeing its high rating for the start of the trip. But booking this hotel was the only mistake we made on our trip. It didn't feel like a relaxing stay at a hotel but more like a strict hostel with so many rules for almost everything. Our flight arrived early and we asked for an early check-in and they asked for extra fees even if the room was available to check-in. It was my boyfriend's birthday and I wanted to bring a cake to surprise him at midnight which also was against the rules and we ended up doing nothing. We booked a double bedroom and the bathrooms were so tiny that it would be nightmare for a claustrophobic person. We booked this bnb for just 2 days and then moved to a different hotel and we were so glad we did that. Overall this booking ruined the few days of our trip and we fail to understand that why is this bnb rated so high because it definitely does not even come close to what we expected.
