Hotel in gem of a town

We ended up staying in Hotel Newport at very short notice. Staff were lovely and although rooms were dated, they were clean. Did not spot the kettle the first night so was disappointed by that as I thought there was none. However, the cupboard that contained the tea/coffee etc was pointed out to me the next day - would have preferred it's location to be more obvious. Cooked breakfast choice was excellent and the food served was good quality. Unexpectedly got to join the town's Nephin Beggers for a bit of hill walking on the Sunday which was a bonus.

A lovely place to stay

Quick overnight stay to celebrate a friends retirement. e enjoyed a nice clean room, a good drink in the bar, a good sleep and a lovely breakfast.

Room was spacious and clean but situated to the front and right above the smoking area, so noisy until the bar closed. Breakfast was ok and the staff were lovely and did everything they could but seemed a bit overwhelmed by the number of guests who turned up for breakfast.

Rooms were clean and satisfactory however poor food especially the breakfast, food served cold and greasy, on our last morning we were told the chef did not show up so no cooked breakfast available. Fruit was laid out at night And left uncovered.

Great alternative location to Westport

We wanted to stay in Westport but it was fully booked for family rooms and were lucky enough to find Hotel Newport! It's close enough to Westport to visit there but quieter. The food was also very good in the bar. Also recommend the Carrowholly stables if you like horse riding and pitch and putt at t Westport golf club.

Westportが満室で やむなく440系バス25分のNewportに泊まりましたが なかなか良いホテルで満足。小さな村の唯一のホテルで建物は古いが雰囲気を保って綺麗にレストアしてる。食事も良好、スタッフは元気で親切。お向かいに観光案内所があります。なお1937年に廃線となった石造りの鉄道橋の近くです。なおバス停は至近。

Nice hotel

Irish style hotel convenient to Achille island and Ireland’s west coast. Nice pub like restaurant. Kid friendly. Friendly service, traditional Irish breakfast. Free car park in the back. Have stayed here several times

Very comfortable stay at the Hotel Newport, could not fault the service, rooms or food served at the hotel, good value for money. The car park was difficult to find and not well sign posted although plenty of parking on street

Very pleasant Hotel

Very good Hotel. Hotel in great location in Newport centre. All staff were extremely helpful especially (Tom) and room very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area whereby they require a nice place to stay.

Très bon hotel. nous sommes arrivé à minuit et nous avons été très bien accueillis. Il y avait un concert donné dans le pub attenant et nous n'avons rien entendu (nous avions été prévenu qu'il durerait jusqu'à 1h du matin). le lendemain l'accueil pour le petit déjeuner était très bon également et les conseils pour les visites aussi.
