Appreciate if the cook learns how to fry eggs and not burn the bottom also serve a vegetarian option if possible. Presentation matters the most.Otherwise the property is immaculate.

Beautifully decorated house. Garden is very pretty. Five minutes from the best restaurant in Ireland. Host and hostess very welcoming. On the main road but it’s double glazed. They looked after us really well. Thanks, Carmel.

We spent 13 nights in Ireland and Ballygowan was our home base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. Our hosts, Carmel and Charlie O Brien, were fantastic. Breakfasts were tasty and bountiful. Their home is clean and inviting. Returning each evening, we felt like we were coming home. There is nothing I would change about this B&B.

Fun formal and comfortable

Very friendly, greeted us by name. Enjoyed interacting with my 3 year old son. Made us feel very welcome. Had recommendations for restaurants nearby and breakfast was delicious. I loved the little details like linen napkins and napkin rings. It felt very formal but very comfortable.

Great stay near Newcastle West

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights here. It was a beautiful property, the owners are the nicest people, and breakfast was amazing. We met several other guests during our breakfasts and they seemed to have a similar experience. WiFi access was good. Parking, as in all of Ireland, is tight, but not too much trouble getting in and out. There are 5 guest rooms so there won't be many cars anyway. The location is great too.
