We enjoyed our stay at the Creole House, after the noise of the conference that we were there for, it was just what we needed! One drawback was the pillows on the bed were too hard. I ended up with a stiff neck. The bed itself was great and comfortable, just the pillows need to be newer/softer/fluffier. Also, one more chair to lounge in would have been great.

It was the perfect stay. Being at home away from home describes it best. Melissa will take care of you. We walked to lots of places from here, even after dark. We definitely highly recommend this place.

Beautiful decor! Immacuately clean! 19th century charm! However, the best part, by far, was our hostess, Melissa. A genuine Southern Belle, she warmly greeted us and was available for local insight on where to go and how to get there. She had such a sweet spirit that it brought tears to my eyes when it was time to leave. I'll never stay anywhere else in New Orleans. She kept the parlor spotless and cozy, the perfect place to have coffee in the morning while we planned our day and read a book while my husband took a nap in the afternoon. The slow jazz that played on the antique-looking radio and the sparkling chandeliers were just the cherry on top!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It’s very unique and clean. The area around it was a little sketchy but that’s all of New Orleans.

It's a house, ruled over by a formidable but friendly hostess. Heed her rules and you;ll do fine. WiFi in rooms poor but in the kitchen it was fine.

The door was locked. The doorbell brought no one to the door. This was at 5pm, a normal checkin time. After fifteen minutes of ringing the doorbell and knocking on the door and window, I gave up and went to find other accommodation.

Very great location for those looking to explore New Orleans for a short time. Much more affordable than large hotels, and in a convenient location just 2 blocks away from the streetcar and buses (for which you can purchase cheap tickets or passes). Melissa was great and gave us an introduction of all the best things to do in the area. The bed was comfortable and the private bathroom has all that we needed. Of course, given that this isn’t an hotel, there weren’t too many amenities, but you get what you pay for. Overall great place for the price!

This is a great place to stay if you are staying in NOLA for a short time. Very charming house with friendly staff and nice rooms. The area is a bit rough but for the price it’s a good value. Would stay again absolutely

Old Home in NO
The place was nice. Not so sure about the neighborhood but I didn’t have any issues. Street parking served abundant.

The house was spotless, safe and warm. MS Melissa was there to take care of any detail problems we had, which we had none. The house was decorated for Thanksgiving the time that we were there and I’ve been down for Christmas and it’s quite something to see all the decorations that they put up.

Great place to stay at
I highly recommend this place, it was a great place to stay. The building has character with it's high ceiling, crown molding and door frames. I stayed at several places on this trip and this was the best one. It's clean, comfortable, quiet. The location is perfect being near the French quarter and I was able to park my car in front of the building.

It felt like home. I thoroughly appreciated having a quiet place to rest. It felt like I had the house to myself mostly. I always wipe down services at hotels with disinfectant wipes and when I did here there was no trace of dirt, dust or grime. It was very clean. The home was quiet and I slept easily. Melissa is a lovely woman who takes pride in her service. Thank you Melissa and God bless you.

Cute and Comfy
My husband and I came to NOLA for a wedding and we stayed 4 nights Ms.Mulysa was an absolute JOY! She made us feel more welcome than we have felt visiting anywhere including some family, and she kept that vibe our entire stay! Cute place, quiet, and perfect for couples or singles. I don't think I'd bring my kids just cause I wouldn't want to disturb the peaceful setting lol As for the area we had no issues as we parked our car the 1st night and didn't move it until the day we left, the roads are under construction so it does make it hard to get in and out so its better to Uber. We weren't crazy about the city itself but if we do make it back this place will my first place to try to book.

When we arrived we were able to let ourselves in and get settled with no issues. The house is lovely and there is space for relaxing outside of just the bedroom. Melissa was delightful, gave suggestions and made us feel at home. I hope we can return. The street is a mess but don’t let that stop you since it’s so easy to get to the street car and a couple of places to eat nearby. Stay here and keep part of historic Nola thriving.

My stay at WG was really nice. The host Melissa was pleasant and made sure to check in with me when I got there and upon leaving. The place was kept clean, and even with other guests it was still quiet and respectful. Truly appreciate Melissa for her hospitality.

My new favorite place to stay!
Everything from the correspondence prior to our stay, the amazing comfort during our stay, along with the friendly reception we received… it was all amazing! Honestly, the vibe was so welcoming that it felt like staying with family or a familiar friend. We will definitely be back on future trips to New Orleans.

Nice quiet boutique hotel
We had a wonderful stay. Communication with landlord (I’m guessing it was a landlord) was awesome. The only downside was the fridge being out of service in the main kitchen. Mellisa the housekeep was friendly and helpful. Walkable to many good restaurants on St Charles Ave and an easy walk to the Amtrak Station.

Fine, but no parking
Accommodations are nice. One disappointment is the parking situation. Website says off-street parking is available on a limited basis. Actually, there is no off-street parking, and the street is currently being reconstructed.

Good value with nice rooms
Charming home! A bit close to the freeway but an easy walk to food and coffee. Spacious room was very clean and filled with period pieces. Minor note: Owners are a bit overboard with posted rules - lots of notices with capital letters, italic fonts and yellow highlights kind of took the vibe away.

Great experience
Spent a few days in New Orleans, staying at Creole House. We found everything clean, quiet, and comfortable. We parked right in front of the door and left the car for days while we used the trolley to get around. The resident lady (Melissa?) was so nice. We tried the arepas place a block over and enjoyed it immensely. I can’t even think of anything that would have made our stay more enjoyable.

The WG Creole house is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed! It was beautiful! Very clean. Our bed was so comfortable. Melissa, the housekeeper/caretaker was so kind. She lives on the property and is available if needed, but she doesn’t hover. She explained how the streetcars worked, where to get on and where it would take us, suggested great places to eat and things to do. My husband and I felt like we had the house to ourselves. We didn’t see or hear any other guests. The owner of the property was so helpful. We accidentally took a wrong turn and got lost. That was totally on us. We called the owner and he walked us back to the right street. The Creole House is in a good location. We were able to park right in front of it. If we are ever in New Orleans again, this is the ONLY place I will stay!

Nice place to stay near French Quarter
We loved the place. Clean and comfortable with a much more authentic New Orleans vibe than a chain hotel. They responded quickly to an AC issue and were very friendly. Only downside is walking the neighborhood at night when coming back from the streetcar.

Very nice place! Was a great place to stay. It is in a rural neighborhood so just need to be prepared to Uber or use a nearby trolly for transportation. Would definitely stay again!

It was great! We received a warm welcome, plenty of tips, and more. The property is gorgeous and clean! It is a walking distance from the city’s main attraction, but there’s also a street car stop nearby. We felt really at home! We would definitely stay here again!

Love this place!
This is a beautiful old home. It has great charm, the road (Clio st) is being worked on currently so it’s a bit of a challenge to maneuver a large vehicle through (we have a dually) but otherwise a marvelous stay. It’s quiet here for being in the city of New Orleans and still within walking distance of anything you want to do. The streetcar stop is only a block or so away if you prefer riding the streetcar into the French Quarter. Wonderful amenities and great hospitality. We will definitely be back !
