Excellent preservation of historic bank turned into hotel. Kept the charming Victorian elements in this Art Deco city. Excellent restaurant (Curchill) with very good wine list.

This is a centrally located hotel, with lovely elegant rooms that are warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the hotel cafe was closed for renovations whilst I was trying. But there are plenty of alternatives within a block or two walking distance.

The manager and the cleaning staff were all super friendly and helpful. Excellent location smack bang in the main part of Napier. Parking just across the road. Tciked lots of boxes.

Great older hotel - a bit tired in some regards, but a friendly, professional staff clearly makes it work.

Beautiful old hotel
Beautiful hotel in centre of Napier, stayed twice before always wonderful..especially having a balcony to just relax on and the library with complimentary port.

The fact it was an old heritage building with original decor. It was in a perfect location with plenty of options for walking around the city. The staff were outstanding. The food in the restaurant was outstanding.

This property is 113 years old and very well maintained. Excellent service and a joy to visit. My wife suggested it may be about time the bed mattress was renewed.

It is conveniently located. However, on this visit I was disappointed to find that the restaurant was not open for my entire stay.

Great location, close to the CBD. Very well appointed room and great decor throughout the hotel matching Napier's art deco theme. Loved the complimentary port in the library, would buy a bottle if it was for sale. Would definitely consider staying here again next time we're in Napier. Dean & Michelle

Booked online but when i turned up it was dark and locked up. I phoned and was told there was no room. When I said I had booked on expedia he told me it was too bad I had turned up too quickly. No help whatsoever - left standing on the street.

Nice historic building, great staff and service. On good condition for age, but room we had did not have an opening window, so was a bit stuffy. Ask for a room with opening windows if you want fresh air.

The huge advantage this property has is its location right in the shopping district. While once a beautiful building, it is now very tired.

Beautifully restored gem
It is a beautiful hotel. I really loved its location and the vibe of the place. One thing that I would say needs done is dusting. There was a film of dust along the wall above the bedhead.

Delightful old fashioned style hotel which is well maintained. Staff very polite, welcoming and efficient. Hotel in town so close to everything. Overnight parking available at very reasonable rate. Restaurant fantastic, superb food and good service. Highly recommend a visit.
