I had a great stay at Namah Nainital.
They made our first anniversary very special by giving complementary treats. Staff was very good, they have pick and drop services to Mall road. The location of hotel is also prime, giving beautiful view of Nainital.
Excellent staff. Clean hotel, amazing food, entertainment and everything. We plan to come again. Very nice cleaning staff was happy with Madan. He was constantly checking up on us.
Over all our trip was excellent!! Was very happy with everything!
Spectacular in all aspects. We really enjoyed our stay. The room and view was breathtaking. The staff went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. They offered stargazing lectures with a telescope at night. If there was a dish that wasn’t in the buffet, they made it for us. Live flute at breakfast and Bollywood folk guitarist for dinner. They did a special anniversary cake. Great job!
Still the best hotel in Nainital, even if their charges are the same as Switzerland, the rooms are in dire need of renovation, the meals and dining are top class
This property advertised KIng bed availability but had 0 king beds in whole hotel.
Hotel didnt agree to give extra bed as compensation either initially but had
The rooms were not the picture shown on the booking. Particularly there were no patio's on any rooms. I wonder where they got the pics for the booking site (in this case Expedia).
Bathrooms had mold. Avoid this place.
To start with the positives the hotel is in a wonderful location overlooking the lake (with easy shuttle access to the centre of town) with exceptional food and a range of excellent spa treatments available.
The biggest downside from our experience, however, was actually the service. It was clear the staff were proud to be working at the hotel and clearly there was a reputation behind the hotel (at least in India domestically) of this being one of the best hotels. However, across our stay we felt staff had an almost entitled attitude of “we know we are a good hotel and we don’t need to prove this to anyone”. One example- We asked for help organising a taxi to the train station upon check out at the reception desk, who disinterestedly directed us to a corner travel desk (only after interrupting me 3 times with the location of the shuttle stop before finally hearing me out and what I actually needed) , who then proceeded to grudgingly agree to help (and charge 3x the market price for a taxi). When I questioned the pricing this was reduced to 2x and the remaining gap justified as “hotel services”. The entire situation highlights how disinterested the staff seemed at providing the service their brand aspires to. The worst part is that the management have clearly lost mechanisms for guest feedback - I never got even an offer of feedback form and when I replied “not great” to the question of how my stay was at check-out, there was not even a follow-up question to find out why

WiFi’
Food and service was good however for wifi has an issue due to nainital having a WiFi issupp
Good quality hotel with friendly staff and marvellous views of Nainital Lake. Standard of food is excellent although the variety is a bit restricted if you’re on a lengthy stay. Only downside is the limited communal areas and no cafe/bar. Also having to renew WiFi every 12 hours is a bit of a nuisance.
Highly recommended to stay in Nainital, Really great staff with great service

Disliked: Staff & service
here only one hotel for 5 star o it is monopoly
breakfast is good. staff always looking tips i have premier bed room but got downstair nesty smell from bathroom always comming food is very costly and buffet is really costly as food price
We had a very good experience.hotel provides free pick n drop facility to the maal road. Food was excellent.they upgraded our room without any charge.the only draw back was they don't offer free sauna/steem Bath as other five stars offer.
Great experience with such a great property They allow early check in around 9 Am and hotel staff was too good food was also very good i.e breakfast or Dinner differently will come again in the future.
Great service, Staff quickly realized that mom wouldn't be able to take the flight of stairs up and down and upgraded from Deluxe Category to the Suite Room that are accessible through lifts. We were very well looked after with regards to basic requirements like amenities/toiletries, help with cab for sightseeing and breakfast. Room service was great, keep up the good work. Breakfast was average, can do a better with the taste and spread especially the south indian (idli/dosa) stuff. Paranthas were good. Great hospitality overall.

Costliest but not worth
We went there on 8th Jan, room & lobby temp. Was maintained too warm that we were unable to feel freshness of Nainital climate....surprisingly even after spending more than 10K for 1 night, Hotel expect guests to pay for Bonfire if u ask for it...overall it's not worth...
