Many staff members spoke a good level of English, which added warmth and enjoyment to our stay. The front desk was also especially helpful with arranging bookings during the Japanese national holidays, Golden Week. We look forward to trying other Hoshino Resorts properties in the future."

"Nice new hotel 3* , three years old, modern design , very clean and Japanese minimalist. Onsen on building Breakfast was ok but nothing special Room was new well kept, with kimono in room. Lot of izakaya nearby Price was excellent considering its 50km from Hagi ceramic city. "

"the staff is very nice; but the hotel is kind of out dated, the wall in the room is fixed but didn't apply paint on it; but at least it is clean; all the rooms are located on 2nd floor and the hotel don't have elevator and we have to carry our luggages up and down; really hope they will renovate in the near future"

"Shin-Yamaguchi is a great place away from the crowds. This hotel is across the street from the station, with several restaurants. We enjoyed several meals at Nick's Steak. I highly recommend it. The breakfast at the hotel was typical Japanese food. Selection was good, and included in the room price. We definitely would stay here again."
