The room was quite noisy near the stairs and smokers would sit outside and the smoke smell came indoors. The kettle in the room was also filthy and filled with mould, I was unable to use it.

Quick overnight stay

I visited Mount Gambier to participate in a community event, and stayed overnight at the Grand Central which was conveniently located around the corner. Check-in was easy. Just had to show photo id to collect my keys. Upon booking I had requested a later stay so I could freshen up after the event, which was remembered and accepted during checkin with no problems. The downstairs room was quiet and peaceful with all the facilities you expect from a motel. Parking was easy with the building next door providing additional space. The location is central to the main shopping districts and the Cave Gardens, and a short drive to the other local tourist highlights.

My only bad night here.

I’ve stayed here many times for work. This was a stay with my wife. The girl at the desk was not the usual guy who is great. She seemed unhappy to be there. There were people sitting out side the only window smoking and although it was closed the smoke smell was disgusting. The window in the bathroom was all full of dust, cobwebs and dirty rags for some reason.
