Great view and friendly staff

We had an excellent stay. The staff was very friendly. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the view from the large deck is excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Highly recommend!

Excellent Guest house in Mossel Bay

My first time at Aquarium and cannot fault it. Huge room and huge outside terrace . Staff were very friendly and attentive . Great breakfasts in the morning . Lovrf the view from terrace of Mossel Bay . Have already booked a night on my return up from the Garden Route . Looking forward to staying there again

Never felt at ease.

Arrived and immediately felt uneasy with entry system, gates, high walls and electric wires. We went to another section. More gates. Our free drink was a sherry. Bit odd as a beer would have been lovely. The room was lovely once all the stairs were climbed. Breakfast was nice and the staff were all very friendly but tricky to find at reception at times. Free shuttle cab to town as quite a way out. Fab view over the ocean.

Very nicely presented rooms which were spacious, particularly the bathroom. Our room overlooked the pool and beyond that there were glimpses of the bay. Parking was very tight. There will be at least one flight of stairs to your room.

Only one night but was supee impressed with the views, cleanliness, staff friendliness and breakfast was yum. I wish i had taken the offer of a free shuttle to the restaurants as i could not get amy Ubers so stayed in.

Very nice

Very Nice room and bathroom, well equipped and comfortable. Two things to review: no proper curtains and the room is never dark. And so many stairs… For the rest, you can have a wonderful stay there.

A bit exiting to check in as the receptionist could not find our booking. But it was okay finally. Nice room beautiful view and fine breakfast.

We booked the Honeymoon Suite. It was fine in terms of size. The view was awesome (as advertised). The bed was too small. The hotel emailed me prior to our stay asking about bed size. I answered requesting the largest possible. It was 1.5 meters wide. Linens were average. So were the pillows. The AC did not work. The room was unbearably hot until after sunset. When I asked the front desk, I was told the AC was disabled because the sound of the compressor disturbed other guests. What!?! The noise from the road ruined our stay. Between 4:30 & 6:30 PM, Marsh Road is a racetrack. The same in the morning. Noise started at 5:30 AM - until after 8:30. This is not something unique to our stay. We did not get a good nights sleep either night. The hotel is marketed as a 4 star property. It is not. They can do far better.

The staff was great while on duty, but after 8 pm there is no one to contact. Our fan broke when we returned at 8:30 pm and there was no one to reach. It was unfortunate without air conditioning to have the fan break. Location on a major street was also a bit noisy. The included breakfast was good as we as the view of the bay.

Nice place but a couple of things to look at maybe

Bit of a mixed one tbh. The room was as described and had terrific views from both the room and frombreakfast. and good service in general. The breakfasts were fine but all affected by load shedding. I appreciate they were out of the hotels control but surely if you know when the outage is you can prepare by having boiled kettles and flasks and toast too held in the oven . My other minor moan apart from the tiny pool was the difficulty of parking. It was very tight indeed. They had a free shuttle to several restaurants but when I researched them they were poorly rated. Ended up going to a locals “beach” bar called La Peron which was fun and great value and their sister restaurant called Butchers crossing steak house. Have to say Mossel Bay was a big disappointment in general apart from the nice beach. Would give it a miss tbh

Good location. Lovely decorated property with all amenities needed. We had the honeymoon suite - well worth paying for! Incredible view from the private balcony. Friendly, helpful staff. Would highly recommend this guest house if staying in Mossel Bay!
