"Lovely small hotel, clean and comfortable. Had a wonderful washer and dryer which I really needed! The man at reception had quarters for me to use…very thoughtful! Parked right next to our room. Very convenient. A bit of a distance from downtown Monterey but on a strip with many other motels. A cute small diner on the property, good for breakfast ( not included) Gas stations tight across the street. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!"

"We picked this hotel for the location and while it’s a nice hotel with a view of the bay it was just ok for me. I’m sure many others might not be as picky but for almost $600 a night for my ocean view room and it did not hit that mark for me. It doesn’t even have AC! The room needs shows some age from a long ago renovation. Tub, no shower, std short toilet instead of a tall elongated toilet. No power chargers on the desk. Bed and pillows ok. Balcony was a nice size with 2 chairs and a small table. Tiny parking garage so if you have a truck or SUV of size you probably won’t fit. I did like it’s next to the park and walking distance to many shops and restaurants."

"Nice place to stay and we have stayed here 3 or 4 times. Front desk staff is, well depends on who's working. Have had great service to very basic. Rooms are always clean and in good shape. Was somewhat disappointed this trip, TV had issues and should have been replaced. Good thing I don't go on vacation to watch TV."

"Very convenient to Cannery Row, which was a huge plus for us. The property has been renovated nicely as well. We found it very comfortable, and there is an elevator from the parking lot, a big plus for us as we are seniors. We were able to leave our car in the parking lot and walk down to the restaurants and shops in Cannery Row. The farthest we walked was the Aquarium which took about 15 minutes, so all the Cannery Row area is quite handy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again."
