ok for the one night - definatley not a holiday hotel

This hotel basically lacks alot of things that a holiday hotel should offer. The rooms are tiny with no storage space at all. Just a wardrobe the size of filing cabinet with 6 hangers to share and not chest of drawers. Living out of a suit case in a room the size of a shoe box was a nightmare. One person would find it very hard never mind 2. The breakfast lounge was held together with sellotape at the windows and the tables were never cleared from previous guest. The hotel was sat in the middle of a building site and the noise was horrific. Definately not a holiday hotel. I would never recommend this hotel to other people

Look at the photo of the hotel. It's no better or worse than you expect

If you are in Monaco for an indulgent luxury trip then stay in a luxury hotel and pay a lot more. This hotel is good enough if you are the type of person who leaves their hotel early and comes back only to sleep, it is not a destination in itself. The room was fine and the shower is very good. I had slightly noisy air conditioning in my room. I also didn't like the plastic coated undersheet that crackled as you turn over, so I took mine off. It kind of makes you worry what sort of person they expect to be using their beds.

Great weekend getaway

The Tulip Inn is never going to compete with the large, five star luxury hotels that Monaco boasts, but then it isn't in competition with them. In its own right the Tulip provides comfort at a very affordable price. The staff are welcoming, the rooms are basic but clean with great showers, LCD TV, plenty of storage, comfy beds, and given the size of Monaco the location is fine - it's a 20 minute walk to the casino on the other side of town. The harbour is ten minutes downhill... For anyone on a budget the Tulip is an ideal base from which to explore Monaco. I would certainly use this place again.
