Very nice service, lots of space to sit in the lounge, specious room, good breakfast, nice park behind hotel, easy and free car park with lots of space, Cons: no having air con, it was just way to hot, weird smell in the bathroom, mattress toppers kinda "sliding" from the mattress, perhaps too big for a bed size Overall would stay again but maybe in colder months

Decent hotel but short comings

Stayed here for one night, price was good and actually cheaper via Hotels.com than with the hotel directly. The hotel is large and grand (typical of the brand) with a huge outdoor car park with no height restrictions. Room was pleasant and clean but as is the case with all German Van Der Valk Hotels the standard room was no way near as nice as the more modern Dutch ones. Worth staying when rates are low but not when high. Be warned in summer rooms would be boiling as no AC. Good breakfast buffet. Hotel let down by poor service at reception. Arrived in room and there was no TV remote so could not watch TV. Called reception and was told there was nothing that could be done. Eventually went to reception and convinced them to take a remote from an empty room. Annoying this was missed by cleaning staff and then not quickly resolved by night reception.

I would like to say I am a fan of Van der valk but this hotel really ruined my impression of it because of the check in staff who was really inhospitable and unhelpful. I always enjoy my stays in Van der valk in the Netherlands but this was a bust.

It was a business trip, I had to stay 2 days. It was not my first stay but i think it will be my last one. I like your breakfast but the rooms need a renovation. The rooms are to dark and the bathroom are not Stade of the time. Sorry but your service team is good the rooms are not good enough.

Exceptional Stay at Van der Valk Hotel

My recent stay at Van der Valk was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the friendly and professional staff made me feel welcome. The room was spacious, modern, and clean, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep every night. The bathroom was also immaculate and well-stocked with toiletries. The hotel's location was perfect for my needs, as it was close to the Düsseldorf International Airport. The hotel's breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. The restaurant and bar were also great, with a cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Das Zimmer war wie von dieser Hotelkette gewohnt, sehr geräumig. Wir bevorzugen wen möglich immer ein Van der Valk auf Reisen. Das Personal war auch dort sehr freundlich und wie immer jederzeit hilfsbereit. Es hat nur ein Wasserkocher für unser Baby auf dem Zimmer gefehlt, aber das Personal hat uns zu jederzeit mit heißem Wasser versorgt. Wir kommen wieder!

Super behulpzaam personeel. Zowel facilitaire dienst, schoonmaak, horeca, receptie. Kamers zijn ruim met balkon en het ontbijt is gevarieerd en uitgebreid. Al met al een fijn hotel!
