Another hotel whose glory days were long ago. This place used to be called Habsburger Hof and who knows, maybe Empress Elisabeth, Sissi, stayed here when she arrived by imperial train and made Meran popular with high society? Naturally, this hotel too would have had its own restaurant back in the day but now catering is reduced to a bar with some nice wines and coffee. Room spacious, bed good, shower OK, staff punctilious. Very convenient for people like us who arrive by train.

The staff very kind and efficient. Perfect location the city. Being it a 4 star hotel, the absence of a bidet in the bathroom and of the inroom minibar are disappointing

The grandeur of the hotel was evident by its notable guests from the past. Breakfast buffet was great, as was the location near the Passeggiata. Try not to get the top floor on a hot day; temperature was extremely uncomfortable and the airco units are much too small for the rooms. The least they could have done was turn it on several hours before arrival. Attendant was kind enough to get us a fan. English is not spoken here.

This is a wonderful hotel in Merano. I was very pleased with the decision to stay here. Amazing staff, clean hotel, decent wifi, and the best breakfast among the other hotels that I stayed in. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Very friendly and courteous reception. Albeit somewhat dated (carpet, chair) the room was clean and well maintained. Full breakfast buffet was very well presented and plentiful with excellent personnel. Checking-in and out was seamless. Less than 10-minutes stroll from the Merano train station and around 8-minutes to the historic city centre core where countless cafes and various restaurants could be found. Overall, the Grand Hotel Bellevue contributed to my enjoyable Merano stay.

Bell’ hotel in stile classico.
