Great lakefront hotel with excellent service

Great lakefront hotel with excellent service. Room was spacious with a lake view. They will hold your luggage even after checkout, which was handy for me to be able to visit sites closeby, such as Matsue Castle which is only a ten minute walk north.

I was in love with this hotel the first time and subsequently stayed 2 more times for a total of 4 nights. My first room was a corner Japanese style room with lake view. I haven’t seen a more fully staffed hotel, it even has 2 parking staff directing traffic for 30 lots. The hotel has facilities like onsen, laundry, and a convenience store. My favorite is the amenities counter which is practically a buffet with things that I’ve never seen before at hotels, including cool wipes, salt tablets, shoe fresheners and toe pads. Only gripe is it is not near the station so it’s a 10 minute bus ride and 5 min walk.

I speak Japanese and so did not rely on internet advice and discovered many shops and food and local information. I was on business but would like to return for a holiday as it has lots to offer without the crowds. Only bad point is matsue has a taxi shortage in the morning and evenings due to cummuter rush.

The staff were great; very helpful. I liked the room and the shower unit was perfect. I would have liked to gone to the spa, but maybe next time. Breakfast (bought separately) was very very delicious, and with a superb view of the lake in the morning sunshine. Very pleased.

スタッフの方の対応は、とても良かったです。 部屋のお掃除もきちんとしてました。清掃の女性の方々が、皆さん笑顔で、丁寧に挨拶して下さり、好印象でした。ただ、この冬の寒い中、大浴場にいくのに、外に出ないといけないとは、あまりのショックで、大浴場は、諦めかけたくらいです。駐車場整備の男性スタッフが とても親切に、食堂街への道を教えてくれました。とても助かりました。ですが、冬場は、絶対人に薦められないホテルだと思いました。

立地も良く、かつ、駐車場も広くて、利用しやすい。 また、ホスピタリティも優れており、朝食も美味しく、それでいてリーズナブルです。 あえて要望するならば、温泉の利用時間を午前2時頃までにして欲しいです。 次回も利用したいです。
