Worst hotel I have EVER booked. Filthy, bedbugs, dilapidated. This establishment shouldn’t even be listed on Expedia. Owner refused to refund me, did not stay, slept in my car, had to wash everything I owned. ZERO STARS

Hi,I am the property General Manager, I denied your refund for a number of reasons.First, you occupied the room for over 3 hours.Second, you reorganized the entire room moving all the furniture around.Third, this room was just remodeled. New furniture, bedding, curtains, shower curtain, towels etc.Fourth, I inspected the room and it was clean. Fifth, I watched you on our CCTV. You had no personal belongings so you did not wash anything.It was the opinion of my onsite Manager that you were under the influence of something causing you to behave erratically and watching you on our CCTV I agreed.Given these circumstances, I refused your refund.You clearly did not like my decision so you left a dishonest review.I feel sorry for you and wish you well.
There was no way to lock the window in the room. The door had a broken latch lock. Didn't feel safe leaving anything valuable in the room. The bathtub was disgusting. The room needs a total deep clean. The parking lot was unsafe because it wasn't salted for the snow and ice. Wouldn't recommend staying there.
I was charged more than agreed upon with Hotels.com. They cancelled my reservation. Door didn’t lock. Had not been cleaned well in a while. Train went by twice a night blaring horn. Step back time about 70 years.
My bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. There was a layer of dirt on all furniture. The floor at dust along all the edges. Luckily the sheets looked clean. Needless to say I didn’t use the bathroom at all, and kept my shoes right by my bed so I wasn’t stepping in the floor.

Thank you for your review. I had a manager to check the condition of the room that you stayed (room 1) and couldn't verify the conditions you mentioned. Our manager found it fairly clean this afternoon. Any unsatisfied guest may request a room change if necessary. Our little cozy motel is certainly not a Ritz Carlton but we strive to provide a comfy stay in a convenient location in our small town.
The room had a horrible smell. The manager tried to help by putting in air fresheners. After a day or so it helped a little but was still disgusting. I am glad I only had to shower and sleep there. The second room we had smelled musty but was no where near the smell of the room I was in.

I am sorry for your experience. The previous guest accidentally spilled bleach on the floor the night before and we tried to air it out as much as we could.
We waited for half an hour at night before someone showed up.

I am sorry for your experience. Due to communication issues, you went to the wrong property and we finally checked you in. I understand that for someone with English as a second language driving in a new town past midnight can be difficult. We try our best to accommodate late check ins after midnight.
The motel is in rundown condition showing lots of wear and tear. It was not what I expected. Hotels.com said it was 20 miles from Sturgeon Bay but that is only if you take a boat across the bay! Driving takes nearly 100 miles out of the way!

Our staff and you spoke earlier during the day that you would be checking in a different hotel and canceling your reservation at our motel. I am sorry that you misunderstood the conversation.
Was woken up at nearly midnight because the receptionist didnt enter my card info correctly and accused me of using a card that wasnt allowed. Nearly kicked the door off the hinges and yelling at me through the door. 0/10, would not recommend

Room 15
The power strip that had the frig, lamp, tv and cable box didn’t work, so I had to rearrange everything to get the frig and tv working. The bathroom had shampoo but no soap and very few towels. The first key I was given didn’t work so I had to walk back over to the office. The lady working was super polite one side of the bed had a row of springs or something that was uncomfortable so I slept on the other side. I enjoyed the hard surface floors instead of nasty carpet like most hotels/motels has. Will stay again but would ask not to be in room 15.
Lets just say for their sake i hope the hotel is under renovation. They did give us a room when our other hotel fell through. The came over after midnight to check us in and accomodated our 2 dogs. However the pet fee is non refundable even if your pets do no damage. Now down to facts. This is an extended stay motel so there are people that live there. We were informed when we checked in that there was no hot water but they were going to be working on it. Friday night we had cold water. Saturday morning we were unable to shower but went on about our daily activities. When we returned saturday night there was NO water. As we were leaving they were replacing the water heater. No mention was made of a reduced rate for cold/no water. I greatly appreciated the fact that they were able to accomodate us, but why are we paying full price for a room missing a necessary ammenity? The rooms need a thorough cleaning and updating. None of the bedding matched or would stay on the bed for that matter. The flooring had a 1" gap in it and trim was missing. My last takeaway is if you want to feel like youre staying at a place that is straight out of a creepy movie this is your place. Cheapest around by far...
They moved us 3 miles down the road because they were full.

We were traveling and got in late. The office was closed with a note and a phone number to call. After 30 minutes waiting outside, they called me back and said they did not have my reservation or any rooms available. I was sent to a second location, did not get the room requested. The linens were outdated and the pillows were old and flat. They blamed Hotels.com for the reservation mixup. The desk clerk was friendly at checkout. It was just ok. Not great.
Worst place I’ve been to in my life! They still have my license and say they don’t have it! I know for a fact all he handed me was my receipt. Never said here is your license back.

The room looked nice upon arrival. There is a refrigerator (this one had a lot of water in it so we qere concerned it may not work, but it was fine) and microwave, which are always a binus to us. The main part of the room seemed clean but the edges aopeared not to be cleaned in a while.
The room had a vinyl floor that was popping up a little and the bathroom needed updated. The desk clerk was super friendly and although not well lit the area around seemed quiet No frills but an ok place for a decent price.
Extremely noisy during night. Neighbor blasted hip hop music at midnight for 10 minutes. Then, train rolled through blaring its horn, so close it felt like the train was next to us.
Choose anywhere else. We love staying at locally owned motels and have many we have recommended. This is the worst room that I have ever booked. The bathroom was disgusting and very obviously hadn't been cleaned. The non-smoking room reeked of smoke. My husband was fuming over his conversation with the deak staff when he informed them that we were leaving. I honestly can't give any positive aspects of this establishment. Luckily for us there were much better options in town, where we did stay.
We did not stay there because it was so bad. We ended up finding another place that was cleaner. Also, we reserved a room with 2 queen beds. When we got there about 3:00pm they said they did not have a queen room available.

I am sorry that you didn't have a good experience. Check in time was 3pm. We were still cleaning rooms around noon when you came in so the room was dirty. All rooms were either occupied or dirty at the moment you came in. We even offered you a free upgrade for a triple room with 3 beds. We respected your choice to go somewhere and are happy to know that you enjoy your stay at our sister property.
Kids running everywhere without shoes all hpurs of the day. People's belongings all over the place. No curtains on the windows. Looked like blood on the walls and dirty as heck!

We occassionally get guests with children to stay with us and we happened to have two kids playing outside of their rooms while their parents were packing their belongings on the day of your arrival. They were extended stay guests and had stayed with us for several weeks so it took them a while to move their belongings to the car. The curtains were still in the room at the time of your check out. The brown spot on the wall next to the brown trim was a result of a recent paint job. We have repainted the spot since then.
Not very clean. Also, this is likely an Expedia issue, but there is an extra pet fee onsite.

Yes, we are a pet friendly motel and do charge a pet fee of $20 per day and a refundable pet deposit of $100. We specify on Expedia that there is a pet deposit but Expedia wouldn't allow us to specify all the details. We are selective when it comes to allowing pets to stay with us. We want to make sure that the pets are not preventing our other guests from enjoying their peace and quiet at our property. I'm sorry that we're being selective.
I had low expectations for a $55 room....just not low enough. I expected the lingering stink from years of smoking in the room. I knew it would not be a top of the line mattress & that there would be no amenities. However, I was not prepared for how run down & dirty the motel is. Questionable everything. The walls are gross. The collection of grime & hairs all over the bathroom is gross. No flat sheet on the bed - just an old striped fitted sheet & old cheap comforter. It was fairly quiet though, decent cable channels & there was a fridge & microwave in the room. If you just need a place to sleep, bring your own pillow and sleeping bag & this place should work

Our tub and toilet was nasty room only had 2 towels and two washcloths...and all night all I heard was this 4wheeler riding around all night til I got outta bed at 8!!!
