We stayed here a couple of years ago because it was very close to my family and to the town. Then, the hotel was a standard budget hotel--nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable with a decent breakfast. This trip we found that the hotel was considerably run down. The lobby ceiling had peeling paint and bare wood patches, the towels were threadbare and frayed, the pillows were lump and depleted, and the carpet felt dirty. There was a musty smell to the entire place. One group in our party had a suite and the amenities included an iron, a hairdryer, a microwave, a fridge, and a coffee maker. None of the other rooms had any of these things. It's unlikely we'll be staying here again.

Good location for National Forest
Hotel was a great location. A little worn but clean with pleasant staff. Little things like ice and vending machines were out of order and contential breakfast was light on content.
We have stayed at this Microtel a couple times in the past, and were pleased. This time however, we were not. The bed looked like someone had slept in it. Sheets were all badly wrinkled, blankets torn. There was no soap or shampoos provided. We were told by staff that there was a Dollar General store down the street for what ever we needed. Ice machines and vending machines were all empty and shut down. The TV had 1 channel. When l inquired about it at the desk they had to come to the room and explain the confusing 2 remote process. We were VERY unhappy about the overall condition and experience of this hotel.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed here because our cabin is still partly under construction. BIG Mistake. Rented 2 rooms: a one queen smoking (all that was left) and a 2 queen non smoking. The smoking room was deplorable. When you first walked in there were toe nails all over the floor, then you noticed the burn holes all over the blanket and mattress cover. The pillow case didn’t fit the pillow. The box springs on were completely broken out and held together by duct tape. Which needless to say wasn’t working and you could see straight through to the other side that all of the box springs were still broken out. The worst flaw of all in the bathroom someone else’s body movements were on the outside of the toilet which I had to actually see to believe! When I attempted to discuss this with staff who was wearing a low cut tank top and short shorts she disregarded my concerns and just said that the hotel is in foreclosure. That’s not a reason that someone should sleep in other peoples body filth. This motel should not even be listed on Expedia. Sleeping in your car would be more enjoyable.

good price for the accommodations. needs some updating int the halls & lobby
It's not a bad hotel but it is one of the only ones in the tiny town. The breakfast is basic, carb loaded & some of the things are a bit stale. But overall the people were nice, very helpful, it's quiet & I think it's decent. The room doesn't have a fridge or microwave & there isn't a lot nearby in the way of food.
I have difficult with walking steps. My room was in the second floor. Didn't have a room available on the first floor. The pillow cases looked like you balled them up, there was 4 cigarette burns in the spread, could not give us enough bath towels, small TV could barely see, ice machine was broke, nothing in the pop machine or snak machine. The lady at the front desk tried to accommodate with what she had. Very disappointed!!!!!!!!!

Small (old looking) room, ice machine out of order, soda & snack machines completely empty. Staff was friendly & accommodating.

Great hotel in marienville pa close to ATV trails
Stayed 2 nights and was a pleasant stay their was breakfast in the morning and the room I had was close to the exit to carry luggage in.
Marienville is a small town off the beaten path so I was delighted to know this motel even exists. I had one of the small rooms, 1 queen bed, non-smoking. I noticed (before I booked) that some people had complaints about smell, cleanliness, etc. Well, my room was perfectly clean and smelled fine. The bathroom was clean. The bedding and towels were clean. (Maybe a little worn.) Sure the room was small, but heck the place used to be a Microtel.
I was there during deer season, and it rained for 3 days straight. The staff worked really hard to keep the lobby clean despite all of the mud and leaves tracked in by hunters
BTW, they do accept pets. I didn't see (or smell) any while I was there.
There is a washer/dryer for guest use but bring your own laundry soap.
Continental breakfast is included. Apparently some folks didn't get the memo that continental breakfast is cereal, pastries, bagels, fruit, juice etc. No eggs, bacon, hot foods.
There was no microwave or coffee maker in my room (there might be in others) but there's a microwave in the lobby breakfast area, as well as hot coffee and hot water for tea 24/7.
Smoking room had no ash trays, no blow dryer. But it did have lots of cigarette burns throughout the room. When we asked where these items were we were told they had been stolen and never replaced. Carpeted floors were covered in lint and hallways with grass from peoples shoes.
Carpet was worn, bedspread is dark & flowered. Two pillows were ok but a third was terrible, lumpy. Hair dryer didn't work. Found a hair in the bathtub. Floor in bathroom looked dirty around the edges. TV was old analog. Breakfast was a big disappointment. A couple bagels, a couple danish cut up, apples and bananas and dry cereal. One side of toaster didn't work. Walls had dirty marks on them. Ceiling in dining area had cracks and was leaking. Overall very disappointing.

Many bedbugs in our room
At that night of our stay we found many (at least five) bedbugs in our room. The hotel staff was kind. She offered a new room to us, and let us use the laundry room for washing our cloths. The new room was however not cleaned well; the bus room floor was dirty and we cleaned it by ourselves. I thought it's all done; I just found the bedbugs but it's okay because we washed and dried our stuff. However some days after that stay, I noticed there were some bites on my body made by bedbugs (many features matched with the bedbugs). The hotel staff are good people but the cleanness of rooms is questionable.
The night desk clerk was very nice, he more than made our night by being so kind and quick to joke. The rooms were very nice and extremely clean. The breakfast in the morning was nothing more than cereal and bagels, with coffee or juice but it was well stocked and fresh. Our family will stay here again if we are ever passing through
Room was not clean. Half bottle of water left behind the drapes. Bodily hairs on back of toilet. Pet hairs all over one blanket and a tear in the blanket on the other bed. Unfortunately did not notice these until the morning, otherwise we would have requested another room. Will not stay there again.
