Stunning surroundings. Chalets adequate but need updating. Food adequate but uninspiring. Staff were helpful & polite.
Qwantani is a beautiful oasis in the mountains with a variety of activities to help you explore and connect with the land. The accommodations are simple but comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A lovely pool to cool off in. The location is stunning, with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and dam. The only catch is you have to drive about 30-40 minutes on a dirt road with potholes to get there! But completely worth the drive!!
I loved the location and the chalets are fantastic. I was just disappointed that the kiddies pool was not working and kids had to use the big pool , 4 of our kids nearly drowning as the adult pool is not child friendly. I was a long weekend and think the resort could have made the pool a priority but otherwise its a lovely place.
enjoyed the stay, although we expected better facilities in terms of entertainment. came in a group of 18 people and was told there were only 8 horses available to ride, boat ride only 12 people were allowed at a time. we have stayed over at many resorts in the berg and have never experienced this sort of inconvenience before. Qwantani is situated in the middle of nowhere, which is lovely but we expected better facilities on site rather than just 8 horses and a 12 passenger boat ride.
The place is well positioned with beat views and lovely entertainment for the whole family. The rooms are comfortable, but would do with a bit of maintenance before it goes downhill. There's cracks and a few areas that needs paint and carpets need an upgrade/ thorough cleaning. The restaurant menu needs more options. Especially if we stay longer, felt we ran out of meal options. I do think I'll be visiting again.
Great location & beautiful scenery. Ideal chill pl
Could have had tea/coffee service daily.
The cleaning service provided for dishes was not the best. Dishes were not cleaned as what would be expected.
Prior Notice should be given on which days the towels would be changed.
Happy hour at the bar would create better vibe.
It’s a piece of heaven on earth. We were welcomed by two very friendly gentlemen at the gate. The scenery is absolutely beautiful! The chalet was well-equipped, comfortable and very neat. We didn’t use any of the amenities as we only stayed for 1 night. I would certainly recommend Qwantani 👍
Enjoyed it
Good escape from the city
Please try and regrade the first part of the road once you turn from the N5
Other than that superb place and warm people
Keep it up
I wish we had had more time to enjoy this beautiful property. We stayed 3 nights and were gone from morning to late evening. We did get to enjoy the Braii night and that was special. Everything was nice, clean, spacious, the staff was super friendly and the grounds were beautiful. Expedia had the location of Qwantani shown on the wrong side of the lake and so it added 1 hour each way to what we thought was a 30 minute trip to our daily destination. So, the driving was long and tiresome on the dirt roads (though the view was always amazing!) and it was a little cumbersome each time to stop at the gate in and out and explain what we were doing in order to be let in or out. I suppose most people who come to Qwantani just stay there and enjoy the resort. We just needed a place to sleep (had booked late so there wasn't a lot available at a reasonable price).
stay was excellent, only issue I had was the bathroom with the tub could use alittle updating. venue and location is perfect with clean linen.

Well placed resort
Our stay was nice although the road to get to Qwantani isn't good at all service attitude at reception & others seems poor more like racist you have to pay for all activities in the resort,no air conditioning or fans in the units, all I can say racism still exists in this resort but the place is beautiful
18km of dirt track off of the main road through the Sterkfontein Nature Reserve and you arrive at Qwantani. We had a house right next to the dam with an uninterupted view. Really peaceful place with lots for the kids to do. Even a poor telephone signal allowed a total escape from work.
The stay was amazing! Not the kind of place to pop into for one night, meant more to be at least a weekend get away. Especially since the dirt road leading to it is so rough that it takes almost 45 minutes just to get to the resort from the main road. But on arrival it's well worth the drive! Beautiful views, amazing cabins and furnishing. Very cozy and homey.
