"Really delightful boutique hotel, lovely room and small terrace - we had room 1 and the only downside was you had to walk through the restaurant and past people dining to access your room, so it didn’t quite tie in with our request for a quiet room. That said most of the noise had stopped before midnight. The breakfasts were delicious and lots of options plus great coffee- the eggs Benedict were perfect. Very very pleasant and helpful staff who helped me organise a boat trip. The offering for the World Cup football with England against Norway was somewhat strange with us being offered only a YouTube channel with someone literally filming the game!! Thankfully 2 Norwegian girls logged us in to their tv channel and we got to watch it being filmed properly! The hotels needs more space for people to relax near the small pool in the day- perhaps the garden area next door needs more relaxing chairs for during the day. All in all this hotel is lovely and I would highly recommend"

"Ideally situated 10 mins walk in to the town. Very quiet area. Communication at arrival was limited. Note: there is no lift at the property. Pool area is excellent, clean and lots of sunbeds and seating area. Was under the impression there was a bar and cafeteria on site however these were never open and the reception desk didn't seem to know there was one. Shame as there is lots of outdoor seating. Our room was lovely, apart from no Aircon in bedroom only a ceiling fan. Towels were changed daily. Supermarket was nearby overall a nice place to stay."

"Location fantastic. Parking for a fair price opposite the hotel. Rooms bigger and nicer than expected. Only thing I didn’t like was the key system used to enter the rooms.Instead of a physical card/ key, they sent a pass to your phone. We ended up having loads of issues to open the room's doors as we had booked couple of room and the links were messed up all the time"

"Gym is basic mainly cardio machines but well spaced - pool area great - plenty of sun beds and shades- poo towels provided - rooms clean - tidy - lots of space for clothes and plenty of hangers - bathroom good space with plenty of ability to store toiletries - the balcony in a triple room was tiny one seat pretty inaccessible but dried swim suits . Reception staff excellent very helpful. Buffet breakfast excellent all very fresh - replenished quickly - omelettes made to order - huge variety and well spaced with good flow for guests. Hotel great location - steps down to port and life back up and short walk across the old town - would highly recommend . Didn’t use spa but massages and treatments available."

"Beautiful hotel made even better because of the staff. Sarah was just so lovely and Fani's homemade baking items at breakfast were totally outstanding. Lovely room, great plunge pool on the top floor and great amenities to go with that. The air conditioning was also great - thank goodness. Sometimes you have such a good experience with people that it makes your holiday. The staff did that for us. We will be back."

"Great place in a fab location. Very professional and helpful staff. The word ‘hostal’does not justify this place. It should be given a much higher rating. Very clean and comfortable. Good aircon. Tea making facilities in the room. The shower cubicle may be a little small for a larger individual. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. Area is a little hilly but a lift that takes people from below to the higher areas is brilliant. Fantastic views of the harbour and marina, we sat there and watched the sunset. A calm and quiet location. A trip on the taxi or bus to the opposite side of the island to Ciutadella takes around 40 mins also a great place to spend the day. All in all this ‘hostal’ is highly recommended. To the authorities- please remove this word from your advertising sites as it gives the wrong impression. Thank you"

"We were unsure whether to choose this hotel, but were pleasantly suprised and pleased we did. The staff were all fab and clearly well trained. Antonia is such a credit to the business as are Sylvia, Diego and Gemma, all whom were very professional and welcoming. We had booked a junior suite with harbour view which was spacious and very clean. The view from the balcony was great and really made us feel relaxed and in the holiday vibe (especially having just travelled down from a full on festival in Cuitadella). The pool area was also very pleasant and a great place to relax after a busy day. As with other areas of the hotel, the pool was also spotlessly clean and there were plenty of loungers and parasols. Breakfast was ample, with everything you needed, be it fruit and cereal, continental or a cooked breakfast. We had evening dinner a couple of nights, which we enjoyed and felt was good value for money. In addition, there was a gentlemen playing Elton John music one evening, who had a great voice and was a very good pianist, so that was also a nice addition. The walk into Mahon was around 10-15 minutes which was perfect for us, but there were also plenty of great options for eating in the harbour below the hotel. All in all a great stay and if we visit lovely Mahon again, we will likely stay again."
