Great place physically, not good as a B&B and very expensive for what you get. Only cold water in the shower, no breakfast...it is room only with some coffee.

5 personnes, en vacances. Grande maison, en hauteur, avec une très belle vue. Il faut une voiture, c'est loin de la route principale, mais en voiture pas trop loin de l'aéroport, et pas loin d'Anse Royale. L'état général de la maison a besoin d'être rénové. Accueil très moyen, petit déjeuner très, très "limite" (le beurre périmé le premier jour). Pendant notre séjour pas de connexion wifi du tout, apparemment à cause du mauvais temps un jour avant. Pas de TV non plus. Impossible de parler au propietaire, en voyage peut-être. On était isolés le premier jour, aucun moyen de communication. Le lendemain la personne qui a fait le petit déjeuner nous a donné une carte SIM pour exactement 2 petits appels locale à la personne qui nous avait accueilli. On a été dans d'autres hôtels aux Seychelles....., rien à voir avec cet endroit.

3 hours delay for check in, no any facility such as fridge, tv, dryer, drinking water etc in the room. Staff never gave me permission to use fridge and washing machine in lobby for using so rude and awful. I booked and paid for 3 nights but I stayed just for two nights because was so scary and nightmare. I booked this hotel because the review ratings was good but unfortunately was awful experience.

Bonne escale, jolie vue sur la mer

Escale d'une nuit a Mahe avant de reprendre l'avion le lendemain matin. Voiture indispensable si vous voulez bouger, ne serait ce que pour aller à la plage. Jolie maison bien entretenue, literie moyenne.pas de wifi dans la chambre. Tres bon accueil, le petit dejeuner nous a été servi a 5h30 avant notre depart.

Nice hillside location with great sunrise view (albeit difficult to access on foot), property itself was alright but a bit old and jaded. Rooms were huge but needed maintenance....e.g. towel racks were falling off their fixtures, bed end was separating from the frame, ceiling fans were layered with dust, a/c was not working well, there were dead bugs in the bathroom and household lizard droppings along the window frames, light bulbs were blown....it felt like the property owner did not bother about upkeep and cleanliness....otherwise it would have been a fantastic place to stay.

Nice hotel that is far away from everything. Need a car to live here. We stayed one night at the beginning of our stay in Seychelles. The room was good and clean. The staff was a little indifferent to us and we didnt feel welcome. Probably is better places with easier access

Accommodation is suitable for travelers with car. The bathroom is faint. The room is not very clean. The kitchen is not allowed to used. Positive is a beautiful view, lots of possibilities for relaxation (more chairs). The host to shakes hand as a queen :D. Breakfast was included in the price, but when we left for the airport early in the morning, we could get coffee and juice for the trip only.

+ J'ai aimé la nourriture servie au petit déjeuner et au dîner. - Je n'ai pas aimé d'être logé dans une chambre avec vue sur la montagne alors que j'avais réservé et payé pour une chambre avec vue sur mer! - Je n'ai pas aimé devoir payer cash les repas du soir, après chaque repas, alors que les cartes de crédit sont acceptées pour d'autres clients!

Perfect for my one night layover

I read all of the reviews and I couldn't get a sense of how close Villa Citronella was to the airport, as I had a quick overnight stay before catching the morning ferry to La Digue Island. Adrian was a star in welcoming me and has the CLEANEST room ready for me, along with my welcome juice (always a part of a welcome on Africa and Asia, it seems...). My driver was a no-show the following morning and Adrian arranged super quickly a cab to get me to my ferry. This was after an AMAZING breakfast with world class bacon, eggs, toast... and wow the chirping of the birds int he al fresco dining spot was unforgettable. The place was UTTERLY silent and pitch black dark after hours. I don't think I have ever had such a type of quiet in my life. It was extraordinary. I didn't rent a car and was glad I had not... even though my driver had never been there before (he had no difficulty finding it because he asked around before driving me there.). It was remote. The morning views were lovely. There are only four rooms at Vila Citronella. I loved being in a large old house. The bed was SUPERB, the shower was good. I was quite comfortable for my short stay. I recommend it!

Lovely villa

We only stayed there one one night, before flying back, but Adrian was really helpful and we had a lovely home cooked creol meal. The room was decorated in a Marrocan style, which we liked. The internet didn’t work great in the room, but it was fine downstairs on the terrace. It is rather remote from the beach, so you really need a car, but the views from the balcony are stunning.

Very friendly and clean

I stayed here for one night when I had a flight cancelation and needed something relatively near the airport and with airport pickup service. It was comfortable, very clean, and very friendly. The atmosphere was very peaceful, but there is not much that is easy to walk to.

If you know nothing about Seychelles go here

If it is your first time to Seychelles definitely go here. Adrian, the host at at the Villa, is the nicest, most helpful person in all of Mahe. He along with his strong network will ensure a smooth stay right from the time you land in mahe. From airport pick ups to local transport to food and activities to do on the island - he can take care of all those things. In fact he also helped arrange local transport on Praslin! Lets not forget the delicious breakfast and on request dinner he cooked both of which were amazing. The Family room was spacious and well kept with an excellent ocean view. Im probably missing out a bunch of other great stuff but seriously if one is going to Mahe, stay here and you're guaranteed a great trip!

Nice place in the mountains, but just a short bus trip from many of the sights. And the manager Adrian and his cousin were both very kind and helpful, going out of their way to help me plan trips.

Friendly staff and stunning location

- Villa is in fantastic and quiet location with stunning ocean and mountain view - but it's hard to find it. You must rent a car or get a taxi to reach this location which is on the top of a high hill and about 1200m from the east cost. - Staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. - Breakfast could contains more variety of food. - Dinner is simply perfect, I didn't eat better food on the island anywhere. - Cleanliness in the bathroom and bedroom wasn't the best but still acceptable. - Free parking place for 3-4 cars included. - Free Wi-Fi ( a bit slow) included. - AirCon included. - Interior lighting was week in our bedroom and bathroom. - Cloth/towel dryer wasn't included in our room.

Nice room and friendly people

The hotel is located on a hill with a nice view of the ocean. It is a villa containing a few different "hotel rooms" and a common area that can be shared. We had a huge room with four beds and a balcony. You want to go there by car and use Google Maps to find the hotel. The people working at the hotel are very friendly. The Wifi is good compared to other places at the Seychelles, but don't expect it to work as at home.

Amazing Seychelles

Beautiful villa on top of the hill with great views. You'd need to hire a car. Adrian was the perfect host and an amazing cook. Beautiful place beautiful island. Will definitely be back!
