"The staff is very hospitable! I was iffy going into this since there isn’t much online about the hotel or what’s going on in the island. You typically only see the luxury resorts for Maldives but staying local was a great way to save some money and still have access to tours to explore the surrounding area and even visit a resort to get a touch of the experience. The island is still developing for tourists but Kaani was great with making the experience pleasant. There are plenty of restaurants to eat at in the area and Kaani had a great restaurant and dining included in the stay. They have three properties right next to each other so you’ll use the dining facilities and spa in the other hotels too. Bikini beach is right in front of the hotel as well. The locals are so kind!"

"The hotel in general exceeded my expectations. As a road warrior I typically end up staying at Hampton inn type properties. Unima Grand is the Hampton inn of Male. Great familiar like environment to make you feel comfortable. The staff connected via WhatsApp prior to arrival at to make the transfer from the airport to hotel seamless. Check in was smooth with formalities filled out while I waited at the airport. Breakfast and the on site restaurant was exceptional! Lots of fresh local offerings at a very good price. Only 2 areas for improvement. Wifi was limited to 1 device at a time. My door had some issue with the lock. Possibly a low battery. Again, nothing really to complain about."

"I communicated in my reservation my view preference and upon arrival , you exceeded my expectations! I was comfortably snd extremely pleased with the accommodations. customer service, location, my food and the kindness of your staff. Allon was especially kind in helping make my husband's birthday very special by y being attentive and taking a few photos of our dining. Thank you to the entire waitstaff and my french toadt and omelet makers! Immefiate eye contact and a big smile always. Will not stay anywhere else when I return."
