Cozy and quiet area
Very cozy. little old interior but still it's comfort to stay. Kitchen wares are exist but a bit old either. The service are depends on who serves. I liked the breakfast is included . It is suitable for a bussiness trip. The town is quiet and isolated from the main street but that's what i liked. I got a good price in this website, but in offline it's more costly.

Worth every penny

Unfortunately the room and bed was fully misrepresented. The room and bed was very small and the room was not clean. I asked for a pillow and the front desk could not provide one. I really need to be reimbursed for the stay at the hotel. It was horrible.

Nothing on Expedia was mentioned that this was a limited service hotel-no room service at all. The room was considered clean, but the furniture was old and worn. The shower leaked water onto the floor, requiring a clean up each time it was used. The room did not have A/C, but for a $50 deposit, the clerk allowed me to rent it, otherwise we would have baked for three days. Also, the location, although close to old town Lyon, was situated on a deserted street, with zero amenities. I certainly did not feel safe being alone with two kids on the 7th floor. When asked to switch rooms, the clerk declined. On a positive note, the breakfast was acceptable. I would not choose this hotel again.

Everything was great other than no AC.
The hotel was clean and updated, but there was no AC. I would not recommend staying here in the summer with the weather France has been having. It was difficult to sleep and there wasn't a fan in the room. Other than the terrible heat, the room was clean and comfortable. We were able to check in early thankfully and they offered to let us leave our bags if the room wasn't ready.

Did not expect Student Accommodation - Needed a thorough clean, only 1 glass and 1 wine glass and odd plates. No Kettle, and the very basic of utensils. Photos were obviously taken when the place was ne, room certainly did not look like the photos. Would definitely not recommend.

It's what I expected for around EUR 70 a night in that great location, about a 10-15 minute walk from downtown. The hotel / apartment reception was initially hard to find; there weren't any signs that said "Apparteo Lyon" or anything like it. My TV didn't work, but I got in late and didn't feel like complaining at that point. On the other hand, the room was clean, the staff at the main desk was very helpful, my car fit in the garage (unlike many, many European garages) and the breakfast was good enough.

good value for money and friendly place
it is very good property to stay inside the city and close to Gare de Perrache. Breakfast is good. Room size is good. staffs are friendly. Road-side room can be little noisy not because of vehicle etc. but because some of the hotel residents might be chatting outside the hotel. Rest everything is perfect and good value for money. Extra thanks to the reception staff and the restaurant staff.

Student accommodation advertised as apartment
Apartment had minimal facilities. Not even a kettle was provided. Hotel was across the road from a building site which started work at 6 o'clock in the morning and produced colossal amounts of noise and dust. There was no air conditioning and it was so hot that a window had to be opened. This made sleep almost impossible. When we asked to be re-roomed we were initially told no alternative was available that night. We were then told that a room would be found for our third night at the hotel. Having packed all our bags and placed them in reception we were then told on our return at the end of the day that the hotel had overbooked and we spent another night in our original room.After a meeting with the hotel manager on the 4th day of our stay an alternative room was provided which was acceptable. Had we known beforehand the conditions we had to put up with for the first 3 nights we would not have booked to stay there.

Seems as if these so called apartments used to be student rooms belonging to the university. Very basic; could do with a lick of paint & a good clean. Ok for a one night stopover. Location is good, easy walk to the centre of Lyon & the historic part of the city. Positives are the underground secure parking and free WiFi.

Not nice experience. Check in at a 4star hotel then you go next door to a "0"star hotel. Carpets in the hall way was very dirty. Got to the room and there was only a single bed not double as booked. Changed rooms, this room smelled of smoke even if its a non smoking room. Shower was leaking and was not cleaned after the previous guests checked out, wifi didnt work, over all worst stay of our trip.

My first time experience at Apparteo Lyon 7 Jean J
Their staff are hepful with the foreign tourists: they provide you the guide map of Lyon and tell where the most important tourist attractions are located, they give advise about transportation options to get there. The only thing you have to do is to ask for the guide map as soon as you make the check-in. In addition, they can get the taxi for you without additional charges.

Office closes at 7pm!
Office closes at 7pm, we arrived at 7:30pm to discover building locked. The website did not state this(at least we did not see it). We called the number on the door to get instruction on the access procedure . The person was rude in his explanation . We discovered afterwards an email was sent with the info about 1 hour earlier. Had we known they close early we would have been prepared.

Once we walked around the area, we found the river not too far away and buses and the metro were very easy to use!! The staff at breakfast were friendly and a good variety of food and fruit. Our room was quiet and a good size. It's not air conditioned but at this time of year, it didn't worry us!! The manager was excellent letting us stay the extra hour after check out time for catching our bus. We really appreciated this!! Thankyou!! We are an Australian couple not speaking any French, but the staff did their best to help us!!

If you want a more hotel experience, than this is not the place for you. But if you want the feel of actually living in Lyon, than this is the perfect place. I stayed 8 nights and I would say it was more than accommodating. I stayed in the studio apartment and it actually gave you the feel of living in the City. I was there on business and took the metro and bus to work every morning. I went to the Carrefour Marche at Part Dieu every other day to pickup my meal and beverages. They had a 6:30 breakfast that was fantastic. Jean Jaures and Mace metro lines were only about a mile walk and in the morning, it was a great way to start your day. Wifi was excellent, never had a problem. They provide towels and you just request new ones downstairs as they respect your privacy during your stay and don't clean your room or replace towels unless requested. If you want a great cultural experience and the feel of living in a French city, I would highly recommend this place and give it 5 stars. If you want all the comforts of a Hotel, than I would rate it 3.5 stars. I was looking for the former which is why I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Good and bad but excellent breakfast and low cost
Good points first. Breakfast is great, lots of choice, unless very busy when you have to wait for items to be restocked. Fresh food, well presented & from 6.30 till 10.30. Good friendly multi lingual staff but no wifi code in room, took over 1 hr & 4 trips to reception to sort. Not so good, the floor covering in our apartment was peeling & was a trip hazard, the shower drained so slowly it overflowed into the main room. Upon investigation I found the drain was full of hair & had not been cleaned out. Once I had done this the shower was fine. The room needed a batter clean but the linen, towels and bed were great & comfy. 2 x shampoo sachet for 5 days plus 1 soap. There is no kettle/coffee maker so you have to boil water in the saucepan. The only "kitchen" equipment is 1 pan, 2 plates, a large glass salad bowl, 3 cups & 3 glasses, 1 butter knife, 2 fork, 2 large spoons & 2 small spoons. There is no sharp knife, cereal bowls, sieve, grater, garlic press or frying pan. It is not really a kitchen you can cook anything in which was a shame. The location is opposite a building site which started a 7am so was pretty noisy & the area is quite noisy at night so as there is no aircon you might have the window open in the heat, you might not sleep as well as you had planned. Even with directions from the hotel it took me over 30 minutes walking around the area until I found it as it is not right by the metro station & has a sign outside saying "Quality Suites" not Appartéo Lyon 7.

- the days were hot, and there was no air-conditioner in the room, so level of comfort was non-existent - there was no a single hanger in the closer, and even though the staff was generally friendly, the receptionist at that day was not accommodating at all - she gave one very flimsy hanger that couldn't even hold a single shirt and refused to talk about this any further - breakfast was bad
