Beautiful old world property with extensive breakfast buffet. There is a bar and restaurant on site. There are many dining options within walking distance. It is located along the lakefront road. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the center of town.

Stunning hotel on the lake, convenient walk to everything. The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurants delicious. The only downside was that the air conditioning did not work in our room even after staff assured us, it was fixed. It was over 26 and was cooler outside. No accommodation was given.

The hotel, especially the older section, is beautiful. We enjoyed the lovely antique furniture in our room and the beautiful view of the lake. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Nicole.

The location is spectacular ... right on Lake Lugano and within walking distance to the city center. The building has two sides ... a newer and older wing. The old wing is dark and tired. I do not recommend it. But the new wing is beautiful and comfortable. The staff could not be nicer from the porter to the desk staff. The breakfast is fair but the dinner was excellent.

Good hotel, but not worth the money. In our experience a 4 star hotel, not 5 star. First, at welcome, receptionist refused that we had prepaid our stay. We had so this was vert unorofessional. We were also told the Michelin restaurant thst we had booked only had tables inside. This was not the case. But it made us cancel our reservation and we had to rebook. Breakfast was only average. We experienced very slow service at breakfast, coffee or eggs typically arrived after 10 minutes. The wsiters seemed unorganized and stressed. Sun beds and the gym vas good. Out room was old fashion style, but high quality. Very good bed.

The very classical Hotel has his own royal style, you like it or not. The Lobby, Bar and Spa are gorgeous. We got the impression that the allication of the tables at breakfast depends which rate you payed. We stayed two nights. In the first night we got a small room at first floor without any view. There was a wall built in front of the window…. but the real issue was that this room was located above the dinning room where weddings and party were held. It was impossible to sleep till 4:30 am. For the second night we got a room at the very other side of the hotel at the 7th floor. The room was without lake view but super quiet and bigger than the first room. So the hotel failed in the first night completely but reacted very generous for the second night.

The reason this review gets a single star and not zero stars is because of how great the people are. Experience-wise it has been two weeks and we are still dealing with the repercussions of our stay. During our time at the adult indoor spa, there were multiple kids that were being very poorly supervised. We didn't mind as we were flexible and assumed it would not implicate the upkeep of the property as there were many staff on deck. The disappointment began when we realized the hot tub was not at all hot and after spending about 20 minuted in the bubbling water we were appalled to discover that there were multiple pieces of poop on the floor of the hot tub. Disgusted does not even begin to cover it. TMI but - This actually led to us both acquiring an infection we're are still dealing with two weeks later. The situation was not at all remedied by the property and was only met with a subpar apology and nothing further. I feel as though such a disgusting, terrible experience merited a little more of a follow up and my wife could not have been more disturbed and upset by such a nasty experience. It really did ruin our stay and trip to Lugano and for these reasons we would definitely opt for an alternative property in the future.
